The Bogotá Hotel Supplies and Food Exhibition (ALIMENTEC) is part of the Anuga series of world-leading food exhibitions in Latin America. This year’s exhibition was centered around the theme “Origin Matters,” responding to the growing global consumer trend toward greater awareness of food origins, production processes, and sustainability. The newly introduced Origin Foods Pavilion emerged as one of the most popular areas on-site, showcasing minimally processed foods and specialty agricultural products, drawing extensive engagement from buyers, importers, and brand owners.

Business matchmaking remained one of the exhibition’s standout features. During the event, international business-matching sessions brought together 107 professional buyers from 18 countries and facilitated precise introductions with 384 exhibiting companies, resulting in approximately 1,270 business meetings and generating projected collaboration opportunities worth over USD 16 million.

In addition to its extensive product displays, this year’s event featured a robust program of specialized activities. A total of 168 industry-focused events were organized, including 143 thematic forums, 17 professional workshops, and 8 masterclasses. These sessions brought together 220 industry experts who shared insights on hot topics such as food innovation, catering services, baking arts, franchise systems, andbarbecue culture, providing enterprises with the latest market trends and industry insights.
