Europort Rotterdam is the premier trade exhibition in the European maritime sector. Historically, the Amsterdam Maritime Exhibition, Rotterdam Maritime Exhibition, and Hamburg Maritime Exhibition in Germany were recognized as Europe's top three maritime exhibitions. The current Europort Rotterdam was formed by the merger of the first two and has become the third-largest maritime exhibition in Europe, following Germany and Norway. Prior to the merger, each edition attracted nearly a thousand exhibitors and professional visitors. Professionals and companies from shipbuilding, navigation, inland waterway transport, fisheries, marine industries, fishing, ports, coastal sectors, and related fields gathered in the Netherlands to explore business opportunities.

Europort Rotterdam features two key characteristics: first, exhibitors are predominantly large enterprises with strong technical capabilities.
