Thailand is currently the world’s largest producer of hard disk drives (HDDs), capturing 42% of the global market share. As part of its national strategy, the Thai government supports the development of related industries and industrial clusters, while also positioning the country as a major hub for foreign‑invested manufacturing. Furthermore, the government plans to transform Thailand into Southeast Asia’s premier electronics and electrical center, implementing unilateral tariff reductions on core electronic products—ultimately bringing tariffs on 80% of these items down to zero. At the previous edition of the NEPCON Thailand International Exhibition for Electronic Manufacturing Equipment, the total exhibition space covered 35,000 square meters, hosting 710 exhibiting companies from China, India, Pakistan, Dubai, Russia, Brazil, Spain, Hong Kong, and other regions, with attendance reaching 60,000 visitors.

Today, as the global electronics manufacturing sector continues to expand, Thailand—among the world’s leading centers for electronics and electrical appliance production—is steadily growing in scale and influence. Concurrently held are international seminars on electronics and electrical engineering, as well as the NEPCON Procurement Conference, providing an ideal platform for Chinese manufacturers to explore and tap into the Thai market.
