The previous edition of the Iran Oil Show covered a total exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, featuring 890 exhibiting companies from China, Dubai, Turkey, Canada, Spain, Poland, Russia, Japan, the UK, Germany, Norway, and other regions. The event attracted 95,000 attendees. It also hosted various conferences and seminars, gathering numerous outstanding international equipment suppliers and attracting professional buyers from major oil-producing countries.

Iran is rich in oil resources, ranking as the world's fourth-largest oil producer and OPEC's second-largest oil exporter. Oil is the economic lifeline of Iran and the primary source of foreign exchange, accounting for over 85% of total foreign exchange earnings. Iran's natural gas reserves rank second globally, only behind Russia. The large-scale construction of major oil and gas projects in Iran, along with the maintenance and periodic upgrading of operational production equipment, creates an excellent opportunity for Chinese oil, gas, and petrochemical equipment manufacturers to export to the Iranian market.
