The Shanghai International Design Week (SIDW), themed "Renewal – Driving New Quality Productive Forces," focuses on design-driven innovation to empower the entire industry chain. Through a model integrating "Design + Smart Ecology Expo, Design + Material Sourcing Expo, Design Awards + Professional Forums, and Enterprise Global Expansion Hub," it addresses challenges in designer and distributor channels for enterprises and provides services for Chinese brands going global.

As Shanghai's only "Design + Materials" expo targeting the designer channel, SIDW was established in response to the demands of founders from over 100,000 design companies nationwide. Materials determine the feasibility of design, drive green design, and fuel design revolutions.
