The Singapore Asia Agri-Food Technology Expo (AFTEA) emphasizes the scale, safety, and resilience of the Asian agricultural food system, aiming to inspire urban food production efficiency through a wide display of agricultural technology solutions and technologies from exhibitors across 25 countries and regions. This year's exhibition area has expanded by 30% compared to last year, attracting 75% new exhibitors, including new national pavilions from Australia, Bhutan, and Spain, as well as representatives from mainland China, Finland, Hong Kong, Japan, and the Philippines.

With population growth and wealth increase, Asia now accounts for more than 60% of global protein consumption. By 2030, demand for traditional meats and seafood from Asian consumers is expected to grow by 33%, and by 2050, it will grow by 78%. This puts tremendous pressure on the Asian protein market to meet this demand sustainably and at scale while achieving the region's climate goals. As such, demand for healthier, more sustainable foods is expected to drive 55% of food spending in Asia by 2030, equivalent to $2.4 trillion.
