The Ethiopia Textile and Apparel Fair (ASFW) is the largest and most influential exhibition for textile and garment machinery in Africa.Driven by the continuous expansion of domestic market demand, the country’s textile, leather, and related industries have steadily increased their production capacity, leading to shortages of key raw materials. In response, the Ethiopian Ministry of Industry has significantly ramped up imports of industrial inputs across sectors such as synthetic fibers, textiles, and leather.

At the Ethiopia Textile and Apparel Fair (ASFW),the previous edition covered a total area of 20,000 square meters, with 426 exhibiting companies hailing from China, the United States, Mexico, Russia, Dubai, India, Malaysia, Spain, Pakistan, and other countries, attracting approximately 20,000 visitors.

Ethiopia’s textile and apparel industries are undergoing substantial growth. The Ethiopia Textile and Apparel Fair (ASFW) once again showcases industry‑wide solutions spanning textiles and apparel, processing technologies, home textiles, and procurement.The abundant availability of cotton and other natural fibers, coupled with Ethiopia’s strong linkages to domestic, regional, and international markets, underpin its considerable export potential.
