FUTURMODA (International Footwear & Leather Goods Fair) is one of Spain's longest-running and most influential exhibitions for footwear and leather goods.Despite a long history in leather and footwear materials, a fully developed supporting industry has yet to be established. Currently, 80% of upstream materials for shoemaking still rely on imports. For most shoe factories, apart from labor, factory space, and utilities, nearly all leather, machinery, sewing equipment, and other materials are imported.

The previous edition of FUTURMODA covered a total area of 20,000 square meters, featuring 385 exhibiting companies from China, South Korea, the United States, Argentina, Iran, Dubai, Hong Kong (China), Italy, Russia, India, Indonesia, Turkey, and other regions, with 12,900 attendees.
