The Africa Build Show (ABS Ghana) is one of the largest professional exhibitions in Ghana. Previous editions have received strong support from the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), the China-Ghana Friendship Association, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), and the Ghana-China Friendship Association.

The previous edition of ABS Ghana covered a total exhibition area of 8,500 square meters, featuring 148 exhibitors from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan (China), Dubai, Iran, Turkey, South Africa, Germany, India, and other regions. It attracted over 7,300 visitors.

With Ghana's economic growth, rural-to-urban migration is accelerating, leading to continuous urban expansion. Consequently, the demand for housing has surged. However, local developers primarily focus on the more profitable mid-to-high-end housing market, neglecting affordable housing. As a result, despite strong housing demand, many cannot find suitable and affordable homes, leading to a persistent housing deficit. Studies indicate that Ghana needs to provide 110,000 to 140,000 new affordable housing units to meet actual demand.

Most African countries have underdeveloped manufacturing industries, leaving a significant market gap. The majority of low- and middle-income consumers in Africa find high-end building materials from Europe and the US unaffordable. As building material markets in developed regions become increasingly saturated, Africa's abundant resources and emerging market status are drawing growing attention from global building material enterprises. Chinese manufacturers offer high-quality building materials at prices lower than their European and American counterparts. ABS Ghana perfectly aligns with the demands of the African market.
