Africa Ghana Building Materials ExpoAfrica Build Show

The Ghana Building Materials Exhibition (Africa Build Show, abbreviated as ABS Ghana) is one of the larger professional exhibitions in Ghana. The previous exhibition received strong support from various organizations including the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Sino-Ghana Friendship Association, the Ghana Ministry of Business Development, the Ghana Tourism Authority, the Ghana Investment Promotion Center, and the Ghana-China Friendship Association.

The total exhibition area of the previous Ghana Building Materials Exhibition (ABS Ghana) was 8,500 square meters, with 148 participating companies from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Dubai, Iran, Turkey, South Africa, Germany, India, etc., and a total of 7,300 participants.

With the development of the Ghanaian economy, more and more people are migrating from rural areas to cities, causing urban expansion. At this time, there is a growing demand for housing among the public. However, Ghanaian developers mainly focus on the development of medium and high-end housing, ignoring affordable housing. Therefore, although there is a strong demand for housing, it is difficult for the public to find suitable affordable houses, resulting in a persistent housing shortage. Studies have shown that Ghana needs to provide 110,000 to 140,000 new affordable housing units to meet actual demand.

Most African countries have backward manufacturing industries with low levels, leaving a large market gap. The majority of the middle and lower consumption level population in Africa feels overwhelmed by the high-end building materials products produced by European and American countries. The building materials markets in developed regions around the world are becoming increasingly saturated, while Africa, with its rich resources, has become an emerging market that is increasingly attracting the attention of building materials enterprises worldwide. Chinese enterprises' building materials products, ensuring product quality, sell at prices lower than similar products in Europe and America, meeting the needs of the African market through the Ghana Building Materials Exhibition (ABS Ghana).
