Ade Palguna Ruteka, Deputy Minister for Waste and Hazardous Materials Management at the Indonesian Ministry of Environment and Forestry, stated in his opening remarks that clean water, energy transition, waste management, and smart city development are closely interconnected. Cross-sector collaboration is crucial for building sustainable cities. He called on local governments and all sectors of society to actively participate, promote technological innovation, and enhance waste management capabilities to address the resource and environmental challenges brought by urbanization.

Arya Seta, Executive Director of the organizer PT Napindo Media Group, introduced that this year's event attracted 611 exhibitors from 26 countries, featuring 12 national and regional pavilions including Indonesia, China, Japan, India, Canada, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland, and Turkey. This not only demonstrates Indonesia's market potential in water treatment and environmental protection technologies but also highlights the exhibition's vital role in fostering international technological exchange and cooperation.

At the Indo Water Expo & Forum, exhibitors showcased advanced water treatment equipment, wastewater reuse systems, water-saving technologies, smart water management platforms, as well as innovative solutions in solid waste management, recycling, renewable energy, and urban digital governance. Notably, many Chinese enterprises presented comprehensive solutions tailored to the Southeast Asian market, offering new perspectives for the upgrading of Indonesia's water and environmental protection industries.

During the exhibition, multiple technical seminars and industry matchmaking events will be held to advance smart city development, sustainable resource management, and Indonesia's green development goals. Industry insiders widely regard the event not only as a showcase for the water and environmental protection industry chain but also as a crucial bridge for Indonesia and global partners to jointly pursue a green future.
