Health Expo Iraq attracts nearly 225 exhibitors from over 10 countries, including Australia, India, Turkey, Thailand, and China. Supported by nearly 10 local government bodies and private hospitals, the organizers have successfully introduced exhibitors' products to local private healthcare facilities.

Located in southwestern Asia and the northeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula, Iraq covers an area of approximately 440,000 square kilometers with a population of over 23 million. Despite decades of conflict, Iraq's economy remains relatively strong due to its abundant oil resources. According to relevant statistics, Iraq imports an average of USD 200-300 million worth of pharmaceuticals annually. Both before and after the wars, Iraq has consistently relied on imports for medical devices required by its healthcare sector, ranging from disposable medical latex gloves, syringes, and bandages to large-scale equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, and MRI systems.

Many Chinese enterprises are capable of manufacturing these medical devices. Therefore, domestic companies engaged in the import and export of medical equipment should carefully study Iraq's specifications and pricing requirements for these products, actively participate in Iraq's medical device import bidding processes, and strive to secure more export orders. This will help enhance China's market position in Iraq's medical device sector.
