Profile

The Offshore Norway – Oil & Gas Exhibition (ONS) is the largest and longest-running oil and gas trade show in Europe. First held in 1974, it ranks alongside the UK’s Offshore Technology Conference as the world’s second-largest oil exhibition. The event brings together numerous leading international equipment suppliers and attracts professional buyers from major oil-producing countries.

This year’s edition gathered stakeholders from the energy sector, government, academia, and various other sectors, with over 1,241 exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge technologies, products, and solutions. Participants engaged in discussions on industry trends, explored technological innovations, and addressed critical issues shaping the future of global energy. The event drew a total of 69,374 attendees from 92 countries and regions.

The Offshore Norway – Oil & Gas Exhibition (ONS) not only set a new record for attendance but also demonstrated strong international participation. Professionals from diverse countries and industries exchanged insights through exhibitions, conferences, and roundtable discussions, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.

This year’s ONS was themed “Courage.” Against the backdrop of geopolitical uncertainties, energy security challenges, and an accelerating energy transition, the industry faces pivotal decisions. In response, the exhibition featured a rich program of conferences and networking opportunities, encouraging dialogue among participants from different nations, sectors, and disciplines.

According to Leif Johan Sevland, CEO of ONS, the exhibition serves primarily as a vital platform for industry-wide exchange. Amidst today’s complex challenges facing the global energy sector, bringing together individuals from diverse fields to share perspectives, forge connections, and collaborate has become more crucial than ever.

Norway is a key player in the Nordic oil industry, with its scientific and technological capabilities—driven by the petroleum sector—ranked among the world’s most advanced. The rise of the oil industry has been a major engine of Norway’s economic growth. Today, Norway stands as the world’s sixth-largest oil producer and the third-largest oil exporter, behind Saudi Arabia and Russia.

From technology showcases to industry conferences, addressing topics ranging from energy security to the energy transition, the Offshore Norway – Oil & Gas Exhibition (ONS) once again underscores its role as a premier global forum for energy-sector dialogue and cooperation.

Offshore Norway – Oil & Gas Exhibition (ONS) tickets are e-tickets. Domestic and international visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name passport verification. After purchase, the organizer verifies visitor identity. Visitors who do not meet entry requirements may need to submit additional documents. Once approved, you will receive email confirmation or a QR code. On site, present your original passport and confirmation letter to collect a paper badge, or scan the QR code to enter.
