The Taiwan International Mold & Smart Molding Equipment Exhibition (TAIMOLD), established in 1995, has successfully hosted three major international events: the FADMA Conference, the Technical Paper Forum & Press Conference, and the International Mold Industry Expo. Currently, Taiwan's mold industry faces challenges such as technological gaps and labor shortages. While the industry previously thrived on low-cost, mass-production strategies, it now requires the integration of smart manufacturing and cyber-physical systems. By connecting upstream and downstream hardware and software from the design stage, and leveraging data mining and process management to build intelligent system architectures, the industry aims to enhance its global competitiveness.

The previous edition of TAIMOLD covered a total exhibition area of 15,000 square meters, featuring 260 exhibitors from China, Japan, South Korea, India, Turkey, Dubai, the United States, Brazil, Australia, Poland, Russia, and other regions, attracting 14,800 visitors.

Taiwan's mold industry has traditionally focused on the domestic market.
