Taiwan Mold and Smart Molding Equipment Expo (Taimold) was founded in 1995 and has hosted major international events such as the FADMA conference, technical paper forums, and the International Mold Industry Fair. The Taiwanese mold industry is currently facing issues of technological gaps and insufficient labor force. Early on, the industry developed steadily with low-priced goods and mass production strategies, but now it needs to incorporate smart manufacturing technologies like virtual and real integration from the design stage onwards, connecting upstream and downstream processes through software and hardware, and utilizing information mining and process management to form a smart system architecture, thereby enhancing the industry's international competitiveness.

Taiwan Mold and Smart Molding Equipment Expo (Taimold)covered an area of 15,000 square meters, with 260 participating companies from countries including China, Japan, South Korea, India, Turkey, Dubai, the United States, Brazil, Australia, Poland, and Russia, attracting a total of 14,800 visitors.

Taiwanese molds are primarily for domestic consumption.
