Profile
The Inner Mongolia International Water Treatment and Urban Water Services Exhibition (JINNOC WATER EXPO) is professionally organized by the original team behind Shandong Water Expo. Leveraging its expertise in exhibition management and years of dedicated cultivation in the northern Chinese water market, it has become a vital link connecting northern China with cutting-edge global water technologies.
Hohhot serves as the capital of Inner Mongolia, the leading city within the Hohhot–Baotou–Ordos–Ulanqab one-hour economic circle, and is situated adjacent to major industrial centers in Shanxi, Shaanxi, and northern Ningxia. It also aligns closely with the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei coordinated development strategy, positioning itself as a central hub driving multi-point regional growth from Beijing. Internationally, Hohhot stands as a key node along the Belt and Road Initiative and the China–Mongolia–Russia Economic Corridor, serving as an important bridgehead for China’s northward opening-up, with distinct locational advantages. Against the backdrop of the new era and new journey, both the autonomous region and the city of Hohhot are actively integrating into the domestic circulation while ensuring smooth dual circulation—domestic and international—striving to build an open platform that aggregates and disperses resources and facilitates the seamless flow of production factors, thereby achieving comprehensive integration into both domestic and global markets. The Inner Mongolia International Water Treatment and Urban Water Services Exhibition (JINNOC WATER EXPO)has emerged in response to these strategic imperatives.
The Inner Mongolia International Water Treatment and Urban Water Services Exhibition (JINNOC WATER EXPO) takes on the mission of supporting ecological conservation in Inner Mongolia, precisely aligning with the autonomous region’s environmental protection policies and firmly embracing the high-quality development approach guided by “ecological priority and green development.” It thus contributes to the construction of Inner Mongolia’s ecological civilization and helps build the “Northern Frontier Ecological Barrier.”(Copyright of this content belongs to Juzhan; unauthorized reproduction is prohibited.)

The Value of Exhibiting at the Inner Mongolia International Water Treatment Exhibition
- A central platform for water environment governance along the Belt and Road in northern Xinjiang, serving as an industry gateway supporting national strategic priorities. The exhibition aligns closely with the national strategy of “Ecological Protection and High-Quality Development of the Yellow River Basin,” providing targeted support for major water security projects such as the comprehensive ecological restoration of Inner Mongolia’s “One Lake and Two Seas.” Leveraging Inner Mongolia’s position as a critical national energy and strategic resource hub, the event focuses on distinctive areas like high-salinity water treatment, zero-discharge industrial wastewater management, and integrated utilization of mining water resources. As a pivotal link connecting the water treatment markets of Northeast, North, and Northwest China, the exhibition serves as a strategic gateway for companies seeking to participate in building the northern ecological barrier, engage with large-scale water projects in border regions, and expand water-related collaborations along the Belt and Road.
- Comprehensive coverage of the entire industry chain, with six core sectors precisely addressing regional needs. The exhibit range encompasses urban water supply and drainage infrastructure, industrial wastewater treatment and recycling, high-salinity water treatment and resource recovery, smart water services and monitoring systems, membrane technologies and water purification equipment, as well as water-saving technologies and irrigation systems—covering all six major segments. From cold-resistant water supply systems to mine dewatering solutions, from large-scale membrane-based seawater desalination units to distributed integrated wastewater treatment installations, the exhibition fully demonstrates how water treatment technologies adapt to extreme climates and complex water quality challenges, while also highlighting innovative applications.
- Convergence of key northern buyer networks, creating a regional hub for water supply and demand coordination. With robust backing from industry regulators and trade associations, the exhibition extends targeted invitations to water utilities, wastewater treatment plants, industrial park management committees, coal chemical enterprises, and hydraulic engineering contractors from Inner Mongolia and surrounding areas. Attendees include decision-makers spanning project planning, design, construction, and operations, providing exhibitors with an efficient channel to reach core purchasing audiences in the northern water market.
- Focus on tackling high-salinity water and industrial wastewater challenges, fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. Addressing technical hurdles such as achieving zero discharge from coal chemical wastewater, maximizing the reuse of mine water, and reducing high-salinity water volumes, the exhibition showcases innovative breakthroughs including DTRO membrane concentration, MVR evaporation and crystallization, and salt-separation resource recovery technologies. Concurrent events like the Inner Mongolia Water Treatment Technology Summit and the Yellow River Basin Ecological Protection and Water Security Symposium bring together industry experts, chief engineers from design institutes, and environmental officers from major polluting enterprises to conduct in-depth discussions on policy standards, technological pathways, and operational pain points, offering businesses a high-end think tank platform to better understand regional technical demands and forge connections with academic and research institutions.

Review
From July 18 to 20, 2025, the Inner Mongolia International Water Treatment and Urban Water Services Exhibition was successfully held at the Hohhot International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the theme “Water Nourishes Northern Xinjiang, Smart Innovation Shapes the Future,” the event spanned 15,000 square meters, bringing together over 200 water treatment and water services companies from across China. It attracted more than 8,000 professional visitors from Inner Mongolia and neighboring provinces and regions, who came to explore and procure solutions.
Exhibition zones were meticulously planned, showcasing cutting-edge innovations across the entire industry chain. The exhibition focused on key segments including urban water supply and drainage, industrial wastewater treatment, high-salinity water management, and smart water services, highlighting advanced products and technologies tailored to the specific needs of northern China—such as cold-resistant water supply equipment, mine dewatering systems, DTRO membrane concentration units, MVR evaporation and crystallization devices, and integrated wastewater treatment facilities. The high-salinity water treatment zone emerged as a major highlight, with several companies presenting membrane concentration and salt separation technologies designed for zero-discharge treatment of coal chemical wastewater.
A rich array of concurrent events fostered in-depth technical exchanges. During the exhibition, numerous specialized forums and seminars were held, including the Inner Mongolia Water Treatment Technology Summit and the Yellow River Basin Ecological Protection and Water Security Symposium. Industry experts, chief engineers from design institutes, and environmental officers from leading coal chemical enterprises engaged in intensive discussions on hot topics such as policy standards for reducing high-salinity water volumes, technological pathways for industrial wastewater treatment, and operational strategies for smart water services, thereby establishing an efficient platform for technical exchange between exhibitors and end-users.
Strong participation from northern buyers ensured significant business matchmaking outcomes. This edition of the exhibition drew procurement representatives from water utilities, wastewater treatment plants, industrial park management committees, and coal chemical enterprises based in Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos, and other localities. Many exhibiting companies reported that the event enabled them to precisely connect with core regional clients, resulting in multiple concrete cooperation agreements on-site. The successful staging of this exhibition underscores the vital role of the Inner Mongolia International Water Treatment Exhibition as a premier platform for water environment governance in northern China. The next edition is scheduled to take place from July 17 to 19, 2026, once again at the Hohhot International Convention and Exhibition Center.
