It primarily attracts integrated processors, market‑driving decision makers, and customers such as manufacturers of plastics, recycled plastics, and environmentally friendly materials, as well as rubber composite producers.

With the continuous expansion of global trade, Europe’s plastics market has experienced rapid growth, and the plastics machinery sector has increasingly assumed a pivotal role. Thanks to the ongoing introduction of new materials and innovative processes, the performance of plastic materials—particularly in terms of hardness, heat resistance, and toughness—has steadily improved. Consequently, European industries are increasingly adopting plastic packaging to replace traditional paper, glass, and metal packaging.

In recent years, France’s plastics market has witnessed a remarkable surge, with sales reaching 25.8 billion euros, ranking fourth worldwide. However, its plastics processing equipment sector remains relatively underdeveloped compared with other European countries, and coupled with persistently high euro exchange rates, this presents significant opportunities for Chinese companies at the Lyon International Plastics and Rubber Exhibition (FIP).
