Turkey International Homeland Security and Military-Police Exhibition Profile
The Turkish International Homeland Security and Military‑Police Exhibition (SEDEC) was launched in 2018, focusing on homeland security and military‑police sectors, and differentiating itself from the long‑established IDEF Turkey Defence Exhibition. The event enjoys strong support from Turkey’s SSB—Turkey’s Defence Industry Association under the Presidency—as well as from the SSI—Turkey’s Defence and Aerospace Industries Exporters Association.
The Turkish International Homeland Security and Military‑Police Exhibition (SEDEC) is a dynamic platform that brings together domestic and international stakeholders across the homeland security, border security, and defence sub‑systems. It provides an effective forum for key authorities—including the President of the Defence Industry, the General Directorate of Security, the Air Force, the Navy, and the Gendarmerie Command—to engage directly with manufacturers, while also facilitating supply‑chain connections for small and medium‑sized enterprises and leading industrial players.
Major Turkish defence industry leaders such as ASELSAN, TAI, HAVELSAN, STM, Roketsan, and FNSS were all in attendance. Internationally renowned companies—including Lockheed Martin, Rosoboronexport, MBDA, Thales, BAE Systems, KAI, EADS, GICAT, Boeing, Airbus, Leonardo, and Rolls‑Royce—also showcased their offerings. The Turkish International Homeland Security and Military‑Police Exhibition (SEDEC) places particular emphasis on three core pillars: homeland security, border security, and the defence supply chain. Border security plays a critical role in safeguarding national territory, economic prosperity, and state sovereignty. Senior officials—including ministers, generals, chiefs of staff, commanders, and military attachés—from key agencies such as the Ministry of National Defence, the Armed Forces, the Army, the Air Force, the Navy, the Ministry of Interior, the Coast Guard, the Gendarmerie, the Emergency Response Department, the Immigration Authority, and associations representing small and medium‑sized enterprises—all attended the event.
