India International Trade Fair, New Delhi

The India International Trade Fair (IITF) is one of Asia’s largest trade exhibitions. Organized by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, it has traditionally been inaugurated by the President or Prime Minister of India. It is the preferred venue for corporate decision-makers, the media, industry leaders, and international business delegations, often referred to as “India’s Canton Fair.”

The Chinese government places great importance on the fair’s positive role in fostering bilateral trade between China and India. During each annual edition of the IITF, senior officials from the Chinese Embassy in India personally visit the exhibition to assess Chinese companies’ participation. At this year’s event, the China Pavilion attracted particular attention from local buyers; many Indian visitors proactively inquired about its location and made their way directly to the pavilion. Ninety percent of exhibitors reported achieving their expected outcomes and expressed high satisfaction with the fair.At the India International Trade Fair (IITF), embassy representatives regularly engage with exhibitors to understand their needs and challenges. With a large number of Indian buyers present, queues for product consultations are common, prompting many companies to hire local assistants to manage customer interactions. Numerous enterprises even secured on-site orders during the event.

In recent years, the China Pavilion has emerged as the largest international exhibit at the fair.
