The Barcelona Packaging Exhibition in Spain (Hispack) is one of Europe’s four leading packaging trade shows. Established in 2009, it has consistently ranked among the top three comprehensive trade exhibitions for machinery and the food industry in Europe.The latest edition of Hispack was a resounding success, as evidenced by its impressive figures. The event brought together key players across the entire packaging value chain, showcasing cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

At the Barcelona Packaging Exhibition in Spain (Hispack), approximately 100 new companies from sectors including packaging materials, finished packaging products, and automation joined the show. Beyond Spain, Turkey, Italy, Germany, France, and Portugal have emerged as the countries with the largest numbers of exhibitors to date.

Jordi Bernabeu, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, stated: “We have very high expectations for next year’s event. In the first half of the year, Hispack will be the only dedicated packaging trade show in Europe, offering businesses an unparalleled opportunity to showcase innovative packaging solutions and attract substantial investment.”

To achieve these ambitious goals, the organizers are actively engaging with packaging brands and SMEs from across Spain, as well as international professionals with specific procurement needs, inviting them to attend and explore the latest packaging innovations on display. As a result, next year’s exhibition anticipates a 10% increase in domestic visitors and a 12% rise in international attendees.

In addition, the Barcelona Packaging Exhibition has forged strategic partnerships with various associations representing industries such as food, beverages, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, automotive, construction, and retail, inviting them to participate in a range of on-site activities. On the international front, Hispack is once again collaborating with Amec to launch an international buyer invitation program, focusing on Morocco, Tunisia, Poland, and Mexico—key export markets of interest to Spanish packaging companies. Furthermore, the event will introduce the “Why Spanish Solutions” campaign in these countries, highlighting the competitive advantages of Spanish packaging machinery, with the Barcelona Packaging Exhibition serving as its premier platform for promotion.

As a pioneering initiative, Hispack will position Asia as a critical market opportunity, fostering industrial collaboration between supply- and demand-side enterprises in both regions. At the same time, the visitor experience for international professionals will be significantly enhanced, as the exhibition aims to tailor a customized agenda that meets their specific interests. To this end, all international visitors can utilize the “International Business Center” located in Hall 3, where they will find valuable information and expert guidance to make their visit more productive.
