The Turkey Istanbul Shoe Expo (Aymod) is the world's second-largest footwear industry exhibition. It began in 1987 and is one of the most authoritative exhibitions in Turkey. It gathers major brands and designers from the global footwear industry, showcasing the latest trends in footwear, and establishing good relationships.

The Turkey Istanbul Shoe Exhibition (Aymod) covers an area of 60,000 square meters with a total of six exhibition halls. The exhibition attracts 547 leading domestic and international enterprises from more than twenty countries including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, the UK, the US, Mexico, Pakistan, Greece, Romania, India, Iran, Indonesia, Russia, Ukraine, and South Africa to showcase their latest products.

Turkey has a population of 78.66 million, and Istanbul, the exhibition city, is the sixth largest city in the world, also the largest city and second largest metropolitan area in Europe. Its unique geographical location allows it to radiate East Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, and North African countries, harboring unique business opportunities. Adjacent to the Middle East and Central Asia, it currently trades closely with Ukraine, Eastern Europe, North Africa, and Europe, forming a transit trade market that can reach 1.5 billion people. Istanbul is Turkey's largest port city and its financial, trade, and commercial center. With the continuous improvement of shoemaking technology and quality, coupled with its special geographical location, it has unique advantages for shoe trade exports.

During the Turkey Istanbul Shoe Exhibition (Aymod), the Turkish Footwear Association and the Turkish footwear sector collaborate to host a research, development, and education fund, and are supported by KOSGEB. A series of conferences and seminars will be held at the exhibition site to discuss future footwear industry trends.

The exhibition first opened to Chinese exhibitors in 2018.
