The AYMOD Istanbul International Footwear & Leather Goods Fair is the world's second-largest footwear industry exhibition. Established in 1987, it stands as one of Turkey's most authoritative trade shows. It gathers leading global footwear brands and designers to showcase the latest trendy footwear and foster valuable business connections.

Covering an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters across 6 halls, the fair attracts 547 leading domestic and international enterprises from over 20 countries, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, the UK, the USA, Mexico, Pakistan, Greece, Romania, India, Iran, Indonesia, Russia, Ukraine, and South Africa, to present their latest products.

With a population of 78.66 million, Turkey hosts Istanbul, the fair's venue, which ranks as the world's sixth-largest city, Europe's largest city, and its second-largest metropolitan area. As the only metropolis straddling two continents, Istanbul boasts a unique geographical position that radiates across Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the five Central Asian countries, and North Africa, harboring immense business opportunities. Its proximity to the Middle East and Central Asia, coupled with strong trade ties with Ukraine, Eastern Europe, North Africa, and the rest of Europe, has established it as a transit trade market reaching 1.5 billion people. During the fair, it is supported by the Turkish Footwear Industry Association and the Turkish Footwear Sector in collaboration with research, development, and educational funds, with backing from KOSGEB. The event will also host numerous conferences and seminars to explore future trends in the footwear industry.

The fair opened to Chinese exhibitors for the first time in 2018.
