Hillhead - UK Construction & Mining Exhibition is the world's largest quarrying industry exhibition. It began in 1982 and is the most important quarrying exhibition in the UK, with major suppliers gathering here. In addition to various heavy construction machinery, mining machinery, and mineral recycling and regeneration machinery, it also covers quarrying, mining, heavy construction, material handling, concrete, asphalt, road surfacing, civil engineering, factory rental, demolition, and landfill.
It has proven to be a huge success in all aspects, highlighting its status as the UK's largest trade fair for the quarrying, construction, and engineering industries. The UK Mining Exhibition set new records for visitor numbers, with visitors spending longer at the exhibition than ever before.
Hillhead is currently the largest mining machinery exhibition in the UK and one of the world's most important machinery exhibitions. One of the distinctive features of the Hillhead exhibition is that all participating machinery must enter the actual working site for operational demonstrations, which is a significant difference from other exhibitions.
