Hillhead Exhibition

The Hillhead Exhibition (Hillhead) is the world's largest trade show for the quarrying industry. Established in 1982, it is the UK's premier quarrying exhibition, attracting major suppliers from across the globe. In addition to a wide range of heavy machinery, mining equipment, and mineral recycling/recovery machinery, the exhibition covers quarrying, mining, heavy construction, material handling, concrete, asphalt, road paving, civil engineering, plant hire, demolition, and landfill.

The event has proven to be a tremendous success across all sectors, solidifying its position as the UK's largest trade exhibition for the quarrying, construction, and engineering industries. The exhibition has set new records for visitor attendance, with attendees spending more time on the show floor than ever before.

Hillhead is currently the largest mining machinery exhibition in the UK and one of the most significant machinery trade shows globally. A hallmark feature of the Hillhead Exhibition is that all participating machinery must conduct live working demonstrations on actual operational sites, which sets it distinctly apart from other exhibitions.

Notable Chinese exhibitors include Zhanke, Yuyao Boyi, SANY Europe, LiuGong UK, and Hebei Zhuoyun Machinery. Globally renowned companies such as LiuGong, SANY, Hitachi Construction Machinery, Volvo, and Terex have also participated.

As is well known, Derbyshire in central England is renowned for its mineral resources and hot springs. The exhibition venue is located at Hillhead Quarry, one of the largest mineral sites in central England. At the Hillhead Exhibition, numerous companies conduct live product demonstrations to highlight their core strengths, featuring an 11-meter-tall remotely operated machine manufactured by Volvo. Since the exhibition is held directly on a quarry site, the demonstrations reflect real-world application scenarios, providing a more intuitive showcase of the products.

Hillhead Exhibition tickets are e-tickets. Domestic and international visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name passport verification. After purchase, the organizer verifies visitor identity. Visitors who do not meet entry requirements may need to submit additional documents. Once approved, you will receive email confirmation or a QR code. On site, present your original passport and confirmation letter to collect a paper badge, or scan the QR code to enter.
