Jakarta Welding Exhibition, Indonesia

The Jakarta Welding Exhibition, Indonesia (Manufacturing Indonesia) is held concurrently with the Jakarta Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Exhibition. It is the longest-running and most international manufacturing exhibition in Southeast Asia in terms of exhibitors and visitors. In terms of scale, it is the largest local manufacturing exhibition and the most professional one in Indonesia, recognized as one of the top 20 manufacturing exhibitions worldwide.

The previous edition of the Jakarta Welding Exhibition (Manufacturing Indonesia) covered a total area of 38,000 square meters, featuring 1,300 exhibiting companies from China, South Korea, Japan, Germany, the United States, Brazil, Taiwan (China), Russia, Canada, and other regions, attracting 33,000 attendees.

Due to Indonesia's relatively weak heavy industrial base, most machinery and tools rely on imports. However, following the financial crisis, demand for imported machinery in Indonesia dropped significantly. In recent years, with the recovery of the global economy, Indonesia's machinery imports have improved considerably, particularly in the metalworking machinery & welding equipment sectors. For many years, Japan, Germany, and Taiwan have been the top three suppliers of machine tools to Indonesia, accounting for 70% of its import market.

In recent years, however, Chinese welding products have been steadily penetrating the Indonesian market, winning favor among local buyers due to their high quality and competitive pricing. Currently, machine tool products from China and some Eastern European countries are gradually replacing those from Western Europe and Japan. The Jakarta Welding Exhibition (Manufacturing Indonesia) serves as the premier trade platform for Chinese welding enterprises to expand into Indonesia and the broader Southeast Asian market.
