International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS)

The International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS) and the Robotics Society of Japan (RSJ), is one of the largest and most influential robotics research conferences worldwide. IROS 2027 will bring together researchers, engineers, and industry leaders in Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance.

This year’s conference marks its first-ever presence in Italy, under the theme “Human-Centric Robots for Sustainable Life,” focusing on human–robot collaboration, trustworthy robotics, digital transformation through AI and IoT integration, and sustainable robotic technologies addressing climate challenges, manufacturing, mobility, and everyday life.

At its previous edition held in Hangzhou, China, in 2025, IROS attracted exhibitors such as Unitree Robotics, Zhiyuan Robotics, UBTECH, Fourier Intelligence,珞石 Robotics, Weiyi Intelligent Manufacturing, Yinsi Robotics, Yuejiang Technology, Songyan Power, Zhongqing, Lingxin Qiaoshou, Stardust Intelligence, Pasini Perception, and Yunshenchu, alongside international brands including ABB, FANUC, KUKA, Sharpa, Xsens, and Shadow Robot.

In parallel with the main conference, IROS will host keynote speeches by leading experts, workshops, tutorials, competitions, and specialized sessions covering cutting-edge advancements in robot perception, learning, control, and human–robot interaction, along with an accompanying robotics exhibition.
