Together with its sister shows in Detroit and Stuttgart, it serves as a leading benchmark for automotive testing technologies worldwide. Since its inception, the expo has been successfully held for numerous editions and is widely recognized by the industry as Asia’s flagship exhibition and a hub for technological innovation in the automotive testing field. Organized by UKi Media & Events, the expo takes place annually at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition Center. In 2025, it will bring together over 330 exhibiting companies and attract tens of thousands of professional visitors, serving as a premier platform to showcase cutting-edge technologies such as ADAS and autonomous driving testing, electric and hybrid powertrain testing, battery endurance testing, and EMI/NVH analysis.
- The core value of participating lies in its unparalleled ability to cover the entire automotive industry value chain, coupled with its unique advantage in connecting decision-makers across the global automotive testing landscape. The expo encompasses comprehensive testing and validation technologies—from complete vehicles and components to system-level development—while its audience includes technical leaders and procurement decision-makers from OEM R&D centers, third-party testing organizations, component suppliers, and research institutes. Ye Xiaodong, VI-grade’s Asia-Pacific Sales Director, remarked that this is one of the few high-quality expos he has attended that offers a holistic experience of the testing domain, providing a one-stop platform for engaging with industry experts, customers, and business partners. He Hong, Project Manager at Shanghai Shihan Machinery, further emphasized that the expo stands as a flagship event in the global automotive testing arena, delivering unmatched global visibility and commercial opportunities for exhibitors and suppliers.
- The expo has established a one-stop trade platform covering the entire automotive testing value chain. Exhibits span dozens of specialized segments, including ADAS and autonomous driving testing, electric and hybrid powertrain testing, battery endurance and charging tests, EMI/NVH analysis, in-vehicle Ethernet simulation, OTA testing solutions, crash test technologies, dynamometers, emission measurement systems, data acquisition and signal analysis, sensors and transducers, testing simulation software, and quality management solutions. The 2025 edition will highlight an entirely new technological ecosystem, ranging from traditional internal combustion engine testing to next-generation energy‑efficient and intelligent connected vehicle testing.
- Keeping pace with the three major industry trends—electrification, intelligence, and connectivity—the expo has forged a high‑level technological hub characterized by deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. In 2025, the expo adopts “Simulation Empowerment, Data‑Driven Innovation, and AI Augmentation” as its central theme. Sifang Instruments showcases a fully self‑developed, domestically produced end-to-end Euro 7/National VII emissions testing solution; Tongxing Intelligence presents an innovative OTA testing solution, while its TSMaster software platform draws significant attention—CEO Mo Mang noted that during the three-day event, the company welcomed professional visitors from OEMs, component suppliers, research institutes, and other institutions. Pickering Group exhibits high‑performance modular signal switches, signal simulation instruments, and relays tailored for automotive electronics, including a new high‑voltage programmable resistor module capable of handling applications up to 1.2 kV. IAE Zhixing Zhongwei, under the same thematic framework, highlights a full-stack portfolio encompassing X‑in‑the‑Loop simulation tools, simulation scenario data products and services, software testing and secure development, as well as an integrated “air‑ground” simulation platform.
- A rich array of concurrent events creates a high‑end platform for industry exchange. During the expo, a dedicated Technology Presentation Stage hosts expert keynote speeches delivered by specialists from over 30 leading suppliers and innovative enterprises, including Itech Electronic, Intrepid Control Systems, Keysight Technologies, Tongxing Intelligence, AVL China, and others. Topics covered include test cases for new‑energy vehicles, software‑defined vehicle EOL testing systems, eVTOL noise measurement standards, intelligent chassis HIL testing across all scenarios, and global brake emission standards, among other cutting-edge issues. Tongxing Intelligence also organizes a series of technical seminars during the expo, focusing on popular areas such as in‑vehicle Ethernet simulation, CAN XL simulation, and CAN/LIN compliance testing, each session drawing a full house.
- For Chinese enterprises, this expo represents a strategic gateway to expanding into global markets, forging international partnerships, and showcasing their innovative strengths. The expo brings together internationally renowned brands such as AB Dynamics, HBK, HORIBA Mira, Pickering, and 3Ctest, alongside Chinese innovators like Tongxing Intelligence, IAE Zhixing Zhongwei, Sifang Instruments, and Shanghai PoleLink. Through the expo, Chinese companies can present their independently developed core technologies—for instance, Zeer unveils its proprietary series of crash test dummies, widely used in automotive collision testing, aviation, and defense applications, filling a domestic gap in passive safety test dummy production. Exhibiting firms can leverage this platform to connect with global procurement networks and seize early opportunities in the智能化, electrification, and globalization of the automotive testing industry.
