The Exhibition Value of the Beijing Culinary Prepared‑Food Expo (BCFE)

  • One of the largest and most professional B2B procurement events for the entire culinary industry chain in Northern China: Hosted by Beijing Baiwei Exhibition Co., Ltd., the Beijing Culinary Ingredients and Prepared‑Food Expo (BCFE) has been successfully held for multiple editions since its inception. It is a highly influential B2B trade show in the northern Chinese catering sector. The expo focuses intensively on the culinary ingredients and prepared‑food industries, establishing a comprehensive platform that connects raw material supply, production and processing, and distribution and sales. Leveraging Beijing’s unique advantages as a policy hub, consumption center, and cultural nexus, the event brings together global resources from the catering industry and is widely recognized within the sector as a leading indicator of North China’s catering industry development and a core platform for companies seeking to expand into the northern market.
  • A one‑stop exhibition platform covering the entire industry chain: The expo encompasses 15 major categories and over 300 sub‑product lines, including prepared foods, seafood, hot‑pot ingredients, meat products, condiments, instant meals, self‑heating foods, food‑processing equipment, fresh‑produce e‑commerce, and franchise chains. From ready‑to‑eat and heat‑up prepared dishes to hot‑pot and barbecue items; from frozen and refrigerated meats and seafood to intelligent kitchen equipment; from traditional seasonings to digital catering management systems—exhibitors can engage in end‑to‑end connections, ranging from product showcases and brand exposure to business negotiations.
  • Precise matchmaking with key buyers and channel partners in Northern China: Benefiting from Beijing’s strategic location at the heart of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei coordinated development region, the expo gathers representatives from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei supermarket alliance, the National Group Catering Association, and hundreds of chain supermarkets and group catering purchasers. The winter edition of 2025 is expected to span over 30,000 square meters, featuring more than 800 exhibiting companies and attracting over 50,000 professional visitors. Key buyers include procurement teams from major supermarket chains such as Walmart, Carrefour, RT‑Mart, Metro, Wumart, and Hema, purchasing managers from renowned restaurant brands like Quanjude, Haidilao, and Xiabu Xiabu, as well as decision‑makers responsible for group catering in hospitals, universities, military units, airlines, and railways. Exhibitors can directly engage with the most powerful purchasing groups in Northern China, achieving efficient business connections and market expansion.
  • Unique value for Chinese enterprises—strategic engine for tapping the northern market and capitalizing on the prepared‑food boom: In 2024, national catering revenues reached RMB 5.6 trillion, up 5.3% year over year, while the prepared‑food sector surged by 15.9%, surpassing RMB 560 billion and becoming a central driver of industry growth. The BCFE serves as a pivotal platform for Chinese culinary ingredient and prepared‑food companies to showcase their own products, connect with northern customers, and capture a share of the multi‑billion‑yuan prepared‑food market. The expo innovatively introduces a “Winter + Spring” dual‑event strategy: the winter edition targets year‑end procurement trends, focusing on gift‑box customization and frozen‑goods stockpiling, while the spring edition highlights new product launches, channel expansion, and trend presentations, helping businesses close the marketing loop throughout the year. Invited exhibitors also enjoy dual benefits through “joint registration discounts” and “cumulative promotional incentives.”
  • A cutting‑edge venue for technological innovation and industry trends: At the expo, innovations such as iterative upgrades to prepared‑food offerings—including classic Shandong dishes like Sweet‑and‑Sour Carp and Linyi Fried Chicken now available as prepared meals—intelligent catering equipment like delivery robots and stir‑fry robots, digital ordering systems, health‑focused and functional ingredients (low‑calorie light meals, organic foods, functional ingredients), and eco‑friendly packaging solutions have become focal points. Concurrently, the expo hosts specialized forums such as the Beijing Asian Vegetarian Industry Development Summit, bringing together government, business, and academic leaders to discuss pathways for the green transformation of the food industry. In addition, the expo collaborates with industry media, KOLs, and short‑video platforms to build an integrated online‑offline media matrix, crafting tailored brand‑exposure strategies for participating companies.
  • Deep integration with high‑level forums and industry resources: Throughout the event, numerous industry summits and technical exchange sessions are held, addressing critical topics such as the development of the prepared‑food sector, the digitalization of catering, and emerging healthy‑eating trends. Exhibitors gain timely access to crucial information on catering industry policies, consumer trends, and technical standards, enabling them to deeply embed themselves within the northern catering ecosystem.
  • Beijing’s dual locational and market advantages: The expo takes place at the Beijing China International Exhibition Center (Chaoyang Hall), situated in the heart of the capital. As a national consumption hub, Beijing leverages its vast market size and robust demand for dining services, while capitalizing on its strategic position as a major national transportation nexus to build a nationwide catering industry ecosystem. With its triple strategic positioning as a policy stronghold, consumption center, and cultural hub, the BCFE provides exhibitors with a strategic platform to connect with both North China and the broader national catering market.
