Saudi Arabia’s Five Major Industry Exhibitions – Phase IIProfile

Big 5 Saudi is one of the most influential trade shows for the construction, architecture, and related industries in Saudi Arabia. Since its inception in 2010, the event has enjoyed strong support from relevant Saudi government agencies. It primarily targets industry leaders, innovators, architects, project and facility managers, as well as technical professionals.

At the last edition of Big 5 Saudi, more than 1,300 exhibitors from 47 countries showcased their offerings across an exhibition space of 80,000 square meters, attracting over 55,000 visitors. The event also featured more than 60 keynote presentations and panel discussions.

Global data indicate that Saudi Arabia’s construction sector is expected to achieve an average annual growth rate of 4% between 2023 and 2026. Under the Ministry of Housing’s ESKAN program, the government plans to build 500,000 housing units. To realize Saudi Vision 2030 and diversify the national economy, the Public Investment Fund (PIF) launched five mega‑projects—collectively known as the “Giga Projects”—several years ago: NEOM, Qiddiya, The Red Sea Project, Roshn, and Diriyah. Notably, the NEOM project alone has committed investments totaling US$500 billion.

For Chinese enterprises, the Middle East represents substantial market potential and ample room for growth. With China’s rapid development, an increasing number of Chinese companies are expanding internationally to seek new opportunities. The Middle East holds a pivotal position in the global marketplace and warrants close attention from Chinese businesses.

Big 5 Saudi has earned widespread recognition among exhibitors and visitors worldwide for its tangible benefits and far-reaching impact. Significant capital is set to flow into Saudi Arabia’s domestic building‑materials market, and the organizing committee continues to invite buyers and suppliers from across the globe.

Saudi Arabia’s Five Major Industry Exhibitions – Phase II tickets are e-tickets. Domestic and international visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name passport verification. After purchase, the organizer verifies visitor identity. Visitors who do not meet entry requirements may need to submit additional documents. Once approved, you will receive email confirmation or a QR code. On site, present your original passport and confirmation letter to collect a paper badge, or scan the QR code to enter.

The Exhibition Value of the Second Phase of Big 5 Saudi

  • Big 5 Construct Saudi is the largest and most influential construction and building materials event in Saudi Arabia, organized by the internationally renowned DMG Group. With thirteen successful editions under its belt, it is widely regarded as a leading indicator for the Middle East’s construction industry. Backed by strong support from the Saudi government and relevant ministries, since its inception in 2010, the show has become a strategic gateway for global construction companies seeking to enter the Saudi market.
  • The core value of participation lies in its role as a platform that precisely connects exhibitors with Saudi Arabia’s trillion-dollar infrastructure projects. Saudi Arabia is currently experiencing an unprecedented construction boom, with dozens of large-scale projects—totaling $1.3 trillion—included among them are NEOM, the futuristic city backed by a $500 billion investment, the Red Sea Development Project, Qiddiya entertainment complex, Diriyah Gate, and other “giga‑scale” initiatives. From 2023 to 2026, the construction sector is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 4%, while under the housing program, the government plans to build 500,000 homes, aiming to raise homeownership among Saudi households to 70% by 2030. The exhibition offers participating companies an unparalleled opportunity to engage directly with these monumental projects.
  • The event establishes an international trade platform spanning the entire construction value chain. Exhibits cover every segment of the industry, including building materials, interior finishes, HVAC systems, doors, windows, curtain walls, stone flooring, construction machinery, concrete technologies, urban landscaping, and more. In 2025, the show attracted over 2,000 exhibitors from 60 countries, drawing more than 75,000 professional visitors across an exhibition space exceeding 80,000 square meters. Beyond traditional building materials, the event places particular emphasis on cutting-edge topics such as green building technologies, smart city solutions, and sustainable material applications.
  • The exhibition brings together world-leading construction firms and key local procurement decision-makers in Saudi Arabia. In January 2026, the event will host over 1,100 exhibitors from more than 50 countries, showcasing over 20,000 products and solutions. Representatives of major Saudi projects—including the Red Sea Global, Qiddiya, Diriyah Gate, and NEOM—as well as top-tier architectural firms such as AECOM, Atkins, Al Bawani, Saudi Binladin Group, and ROSHN Group, are expected to attend for sourcing and networking.
  • Complementary high‑profile industry forums and specialized events further elevate the exhibition into a hub of deep integration among academia, industry, research, and application. During the 2025 edition, eight special events and more than 100 thematic presentations were held, featuring over 150 expert speakers. Building on this tradition, the 2026 show will feature the Architecture Leaders Forum, Big 5 Talks technical seminars, CIAAD masterclasses, and the EcoTrail sustainable technology showcase, focusing on green building materials, energy‑efficient technologies, AI‑enabled architecture, and other frontier issues.
  • For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway to the Middle East market and a vital link to Saudi Arabia’s vast infrastructure resources. Chinese products hold a significant position in the Saudi building materials market, particularly in areas such as ceramic sanitaryware, HVAC equipment, and door and window hardware. In 2025, Haier Smart Home participated with its full product lineup, presenting intelligent air‑conditioning solutions and safe water‑management systems tailored to the region’s extreme climate, thereby securing expressions of intent for collaboration from customers in nearly 20 countries, including Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. Moreover, the Saudi government offers favorable policies, such as tax exemptions, creating a conducive business environment for international companies.

Exhibition Review

The Big 5 Construct Saudi 2025 was successfully held from February 15 to 27, 2025, at the Riyadh Front International Convention & Exhibition Center, marking the first-ever adoption of an innovative two-week exhibition format. The first week (February 15–18) covered the entire industry chain, from foundational work through design and construction, while the second week (February 24–27) focused on finishing works and post-construction services. The event was organized by DMG Events, with support from the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA), and inaugurated by His Excellency Majid Abdullah Al-Hogail, Minister of Municipalities, Rural Affairs, and Housing of Saudi Arabia, who cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony.

In terms of scale, this edition attracted over 2,000 exhibiting companies from more than 60 countries, drawing a total of over 75,000 professional visitors across an exhibition space of 80,000 square meters. The show featured 14 product sectors, with five new categories added, covering the full spectrum of the construction value chain. A total of 17 national pavilions showcased their respective products, solutions, and specialized technologies. During the event, eight special programs and more than 100 thematic presentations were hosted, with over 150 industry experts delivering keynote speeches.

This year’s edition was marked by numerous highlights, with both internationalization and professionalization reaching new heights. Concurrent with the exhibition, the fourth International Contractors Conference (ICC) took place, co-organized by the SCA and DMG Events, focusing on the challenges, opportunities, and key influencing factors facing the Saudi contracting sector. At the conference, Eng. Zakaria bin Abdulrahman Al-Abdulqader, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Contractors Authority, emphasized that the ICC and Big 5 Construct Saudi have drawn significant participation from professionals, contractors, project owners, developers, legal, financial, and insurance institutions, subcontractors, consulting engineers, and technology providers.

Sustainable innovation technologies emerged as the centerpiece of the event. GreenTech Cooling Solutions unveiled a revolutionary energy-efficient HVAC system capable of reducing energy consumption by up to 40%; EcoCrete presented a low-carbon concrete mix that significantly cuts emissions while enhancing durability; SmartBuild Technologies introduced cutting-edge prefabricated housing units designed for rapid deployment and superior thermal insulation; BuildBot made its debut with a bricklaying robot system that boosts construction speed by 50%, addressing labor shortages. First-time exhibitors Firat Pipes showcased advanced indoor and outdoor piping systems, while Spacemaker KSA presented innovative solutions for affordable housing and high-rise developments.

Parallel events and strategic partnerships yielded substantial results. Saudi real estate infrastructure company Binyah signed a cooperation agreement with SAP to implement SAP ERP on the SAP RISE cloud platform, advancing Binyah’s digital transformation. Binyah also entered into another partnership with SSB Global to jointly elevate the Saudi construction and infrastructure sectors. Meanwhile, Saudi industrial group Alessa established a strategic alliance with Egypt’s Al Arabi Industrial Group in manufacturing, supply chain, and R&D. Mueen Human Resources and Auxilium, making their debut, signed a collaboration agreement on human resource solutions. JGB and Mupro Germany inked a distribution deal, while Armacell secured agreements for the distribution of Armaflex insulation materials and ArmaGel products.

Exhibitor and visitor feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with high praise for the quality and professionalism of the participating companies. Fahad Al Qifari, CEO of Al Majal Al Arabi (MAG), a leading facilities management provider in Saudi Arabia, noted that the exhibition underscored the growing importance of facilities management as a core priority within Saudi Arabia’s emerging infrastructure landscape, with MAG currently supporting projects such as the Two Holy Mosques, Medina, the Riyadh Metro, the NEOM green hydrogen initiative, the Red Sea Project, and Diriyah Gate. Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President of DMG Events, stated that Big 5 Construct Saudi serves as a pivotal enabler for the Saudi construction industry, empowering professionals to explore cutting-edge products and solutions.

Attendees widely agreed that the Big 5 Construct Saudi is not only an excellent platform for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also a critical hub for gaining insights into Middle Eastern construction trends and connecting with Saudi Arabia’s trillion-dollar infrastructure resources. As Saudi Arabia continues to advance its Vision 2030, with mega-projects such as the NEOM City, the Red Sea Project, and the ROSHN housing initiative entering accelerated phases of development, demand for construction materials remains robust. Consequently, the exhibition—serving as a strategic bridge between global suppliers and Saudi domestic procurement decision-makers—will continue to grow in value and influence.
