China (Hefei) International Equipment Manufacturing Expo

The 2025 China (Hefei) International Equipment Manufacturing Expo (CCEME) was successfully held at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. Co-hosted by the China Machinery Industry Federation, the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and the Hefei Municipal People’s Government, this year’s event was themed “Smart Manufacturing Empowers, Beautiful Anhui Rises,” making it the most significant annual economic and trade gathering for the equipment manufacturing sector in Central China. Concurrent with the expo, a series of supporting activities were organized, including the China (Hefei) Smart Manufacturing Summit Forum, the Wanjiang Urban Belt Industrial Transfer Matchmaking Conference, and the Anhui Province Manufacturing Digital Transformation Promotion Conference.

With an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, the show brought together over 500 exhibiting companies, spanning multiple halls within the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibitor lineup featured international industry leaders such as Siemens, ABB, FANUC, Yaskawa, and Yamazaki Mazak, alongside leading local Anhui enterprises like Hefei Hefeng Intelligent, Efort, XinYiHua, Keda Intelligent, Juyi Automation, and Wannan Electric Motor. Additionally, prominent domestic firms—including Shenyang Machine Tool, Dalian Machine Tool, Jinan Second Machine Tool, Yangli Group, Syntec Robot, Huazhong CNC, and Han’s Laser—were also present. Overseas exhibitors and buyers from more than 20 countries and regions, including Germany, Japan, the United States, Switzerland, Italy, and South Korea, attended, and the four-day event welcomed over 30,000 professional visitors.

The New Energy Vehicle Equipment Zone emerged as the highlight of this year’s expo. This dedicated zone showcased complete vehicle manufacturing equipment, power battery production machinery, and electric drive system manufacturing systems. NIO exhibited a scale model of its “Smart Manufacturing Factory,” demonstrating fully automated production lines covering stamping, welding, painting, and final assembly. BYD presented a model of its “Blade Battery” intelligent production line, capable of achieving fully automated processes for electrode coating, calendering, slitting, and winding. Hefei Hefeng Intelligent unveiled a large-scale high-speed stamping line customized for new energy vehicle manufacturers, enabling efficient and precise forming of aluminum alloy body panels. According to exhibitors, as Anhui’s new energy vehicle industry cluster rapidly expands, demand for related manufacturing equipment is experiencing explosive growth.

The Industrial Automation and Robotics Zone also drew significant attention. Efort displayed its latest generation of “Industrial Robot Series,” including welding robots, handling robots, and painting robots, widely deployed across automotive, home appliance, and 3C electronics sectors. XinYiHua introduced its “Clean Handling Robot,” primarily used in semiconductor and display panel manufacturing. Keda Intelligent showcased its “Intelligent Assembly Line” solution, integrating machine vision and force control technologies to enable highly efficient assembly of precision components. Syntec Robot exhibited its “Collaborative Robot Series,” characterized by safety, flexibility, and ease of use, suitable for human–robot collaborative operations.

The Laser Processing and Sheet Metal Zone garnered considerable interest. Han’s Laser unveiled its “20 kW Ultra-High-Power Fiber Laser Cutting Machine” and “Laser Welding Robot,” both delivering cutting thicknesses and welding precision at internationally advanced levels. Huagong Laser demonstrated its “Three-Dimensional Five-Axis Laser Cutting Machine,” mainly applied to punching and edge trimming of automotive hot-formed steel parts. Hongshi Laser introduced its “Laser Pipe Cutting Machine” and “Handheld Laser Welder,” extensively utilized in sheet metal processing, hardware products, and medical device manufacturing.

The Wanjiang Urban Belt Industrial Transfer Matchmaking Conference yielded fruitful results. Held on the second day of the expo, the conference invited heads of industrial parks from Anhui Province and eight cities along the Wanjiang River—Hefei, Wuhu, Ma’anshan, Anqing, Chuzhou, Tongling, Chizhou, and Xuancheng—to engage in project matchmaking with exhibiting companies. Topics covered included equipment manufacturing, new energy vehicles, smart home appliances, and electronic information. Preliminary statistics indicate that over 30 intentions for industrial transfer and investment cooperation were reached during the event, with total committed investment exceeding RMB 5 billion. Officials from the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology emphasized that the Wanjiang Urban Belt is a national-level demonstration zone for industrial transfer, boasting a solid industrial foundation and favorable policy environment, and warmly welcomes domestic and international equipment manufacturers to invest and establish operations in Anhui.

The China (Hefei) Smart Manufacturing Summit Forum gathered top-tier industry expertise. With the theme “Smart Manufacturing Empowers High-Quality Development,” the forum featured speeches by the Executive Vice President of the China Machinery Industry Federation, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the Director of the Anhui Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, the Vice Mayor of the Hefei Municipal People’s Government, the Chairman of Efort, and the General Manager of Hefei Hefeng Intelligent, among other distinguished guests. Discussions centered on topics such as “Smart Manufacturing and Digital Transformation,” “Independent Innovation in New Energy Vehicle Equipment,” and “Opportunities and Challenges in the Robotics Industry.” Experts attending the forum noted that Anhui’s manufacturing sector is accelerating its transformation toward high-end, intelligent, and green production, with continuously upgrading equipment demand structures, thereby providing vast market opportunities for equipment suppliers.

As Anhui becomes increasingly integrated into the Yangtze River Delta’s unified development framework, the pace of manufacturing transformation and upgrading continues to accelerate, while the structure of equipment market demand keeps improving. As the most influential specialized expo for equipment manufacturing in Central China, CCEME has become a strategic platform for companies seeking to deepen their presence in the Anhui market, extend their reach into Central China, facilitate industrial transfers, and gain insights into industry trends. The next edition of CCEME will be held in May 2026 at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center.
