Profile
The Chengdu International Jewellery Fair (ChengDu Jewellery Fair, shortened to Chengdu Jewellery Fair), since its inception in 2001, has grown into a large-scale, highly internationalized, and high‑quality professional jewellery exhibition in the central and western regions of China. It serves as a premier platform for jewellery enterprises to expand their markets, promote their brands, and disseminate jewellery culture.
The Chengdu International Jewellery Fair is positioned as a regional professional exhibition primarily serving the southwestern market—covering Sichuan, Chongqing, Guiyang, and Yunnan—as well as the northwestern market—including Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Ningxia, and Gansu—along with Hubei and other adjacent areas. It caters mainly to wholesale traders, agents, distributors, manufacturing facilities, and major department stores, hypermarkets, and specialty boutiques within these regions. Its seamless integration of comprehensiveness and specialization, together with regional focus and international outreach, has established the Chengdu International Jewellery Fair as the leading professional jewellery event in the central and western parts of China.
Under the concerted efforts of the Sichuan Provincial Jewelry, Jade & Ornament Industry Association, the Chengdu International Jewellery Fair has entered a new phase, consistently upholding the guiding principle of “showcasing brands and fostering collaboration” to serve both exhibitors and visitors. The fair continues to strengthen exchanges and partnerships with local Sichuan jewellery businesses, further advancing brand promotion and trade within the province, and cultivating a distinctive “Sichuan image” for the jewellery sector.
Chengdu International Jewelry Exhibition tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit. On site, verify entry with your ID card or by scanning the e-ticket QR code.
The Exhibition Value of the Chengdu Jewellery Fair
- China’s Largest and Longest‑Running Specialized Jewellery Event in the Western RegionSince its inception in 2000, the Chengdu Jewellery Fair has been successfully held for dozens of editions. It is the largest, most internationally oriented, and highest‑quality professional jewellery exhibition in central and western China. Widely acclaimed by industry professionals as “the premier jewellery show in the West,” it serves as a pivotal platform for jewellery brands to tap into the western market, enhance brand visibility, and promote jewellery culture.
- A One‑Stop Procurement Hub Covering the Entire Industry ChainThe fair showcases a comprehensive range of jewellery categories, including gold and platinum pieces, diamonds, jadeite and other gemstones, pearls and corals, coloured gemstones, amber and beeswax, southern red jasper, Hetian jade, crystals, and more. It also features supporting services such as franchising and chain operations, packaging, tools and machinery, and industrial park development. From collector‑grade treasures to affordable fashion items, exhibitors can seamlessly connect with buyers across the entire value chain—enabling product display, brand exposure, and business negotiations all under one roof.
- Precision‑Targeted Access to Core Buyers and Distribution Channels in Southwest and Northwest ChinaThe fair is strategically positioned to serve the southwestern region (Sichuan, Chongqing, Guiyang, Yunnan), the northwestern region (Shaanxi, Xinjiang, Ningxia, Gansu), as well as Hubei and other key markets. Its primary audience comprises jewellery wholesalers, agents, distributors, manufacturers, and major department stores, shopping malls, and specialty retailers. The last edition attracted over 600 exhibitors and drew more than 20,000 professional visitors.
- Unique Strategic Value for Chinese Enterprises: A Catalyst for Deepening Market Penetration in the WestChengdu’s annual jewellery retail sales have surpassed RMB 4 billion, giving rise to three major wholesale districts and five prominent retail hubs, serving a consumer base of over 8 million. The Chengdu Jewellery Fair provides enterprises with an essential platform to enter the western market, establish connections with regional distributors, and showcase their own brands. With its core advantages of “direct supply from production sites” and “factory‑direct sales,” the fair eliminates intermediate distribution channels, enabling exhibitors to reach end consumers and professional buyers directly.
- A Vanguard for Technological Innovation and Industry TrendsAt the fair, cultural‑creative jewellery, intangible cultural heritage crafts, lightweight designs, and national‑style trends have emerged as key highlights. The event features dedicated zones such as the Intangible Cultural Heritage Masters’ Pavilion, the Designer’s Zone, and the Tibetan Jewellery Corner, showcasing innovative fusions of traditional techniques—like mother‑of‑pearl inlay, paper‑cutting, and filigree—with contemporary design concepts.
- In‑Depth Networking Opportunities through High‑Profile Forums and Industry ResourcesConcurrent with the fair, a series of educational events—including jewellery‑knowledge seminars, designer‑sharing sessions, and forums on jewellery aesthetics and smart consumption—are held. Experts from the National Quality Inspection and Testing Center for Gold, Silver and Jewellery provide on‑site guidance on material appraisal, design aesthetics, investment strategies, and other practical topics. The Center maintains a permanent presence at the venue, offering free appraisal services and implementing a “test before you buy” consumer protection mechanism.
- Chengdu’s Geographical and Industrial AdvantagesAs a leading fashion‑consumption hub in western China, Chengdu boasts upscale department stores such as Xibu, Renhe Spring, and Qunguang Department Store, ranking first among western cities in terms of fashion spending. Leveraging its strategic position as the “Western Consumption Center,” the Chengdu Jewellery Fair offers exhibitors a powerful platform to connect with both regional and nationwide markets.

Review
The 50th Chengdu International Jewelry Exhibition in 2026 was successfully held at the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu. Hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Jewelry, Jade & Ornament Industry Association, the event was themed “Shining Futures with Jewels, Success Awaits,” marking the first major jewelry showcase of the year in Southwest China.
In terms of exhibition scale, this edition covered over 11,000 square meters, bringing together more than 600 exhibitors. The exhibits spanned over 100 categories, including jadeite, pearls, colored gemstones, Hetian jade, and more—ranging from high‑end collector’s pieces valued at tens of thousands of yuan to affordable fashion items priced in the hundreds. The fair welcomed over 20,000 professional visitors and jewelry enthusiasts.
The exhibitor lineup showcased remarkable diversity. This year’s event attracted more than a hundred global source‑level jewelry suppliers, leveraging their core strengths in direct sourcing from production regions and factory‑direct sales to eliminate intermediate distribution channels. Exhibits encompassed over 50 jewelry categories, featuring more than one million carefully selected items—ranging from everyday, refined accessories to rare, highly collectible masterpieces—thus catering to diverse consumer needs.
An innovative experiential model emerged as a key highlight of this edition. The fair introduced a groundbreaking “one‑item wholesale” concept, partnering with global source suppliers such as Myanmar’s jade mining areas and China’s East Sea pearl bases to connect retail outlets directly with upstream producers. Consumers can enjoy factory‑gate pricing without needing to purchase in bulk. Breaking away from traditional trade show formats, the event created three immersive experience zones: a “Green Renewal” succulent‑planting area launched in conjunction with Arbor Day, which distributed over 2,000 eco‑friendly potted plants; a popular mosaic coaster‑DIY workshop; and a jewelry‑appraisal education corner that fielded an average of more than 300 inquiries per day.
A rich array of concurrent activities further enhanced the event. The National Gold, Silver & Jewelry Quality Inspection Center (Sichuan) provided on‑site free appraisal services throughout the exhibition, while daily raffles offered three rounds of prize draws, achieving a 100% winning rate. A special “Horse Culture” themed zone was also featured, juxtaposing replicas of Tang‑dynasty horse‑saddle ornaments with contemporary jewelry designs to highlight the cultural symbolism of “success on horseback.” In addition, the fair upgraded its hybrid online‑offline experience, launching live‑streamed virtual tours that transcended geographical boundaries, enabling attendees to fully immerse themselves in the event from the comfort of their homes.
Exhibitors and industry stakeholders responded enthusiastically. Participating companies generally reported high‑quality professional buyers with clear purchasing intentions. Many exhibitors noted that the pre‑appraisal‑then‑purchase mechanism effectively safeguarded consumer rights and boosted conversion rates. Attendees agreed that, now in its 50th edition, the Chengdu International Jewelry Exhibition has firmly established itself as the most influential professional platform for the jewelry industry in Western China—a strategic venue for showcasing products, connecting with clients, identifying market trends, and expanding into the western Chinese market.
