Profile

The Guangzhou International Bakery Exhibition (CHINA BAKERY EXHIBITION) has established itself as China’s premier baking trade show. Originally known as the “National Bakery Raw Materials and Equipment Exhibition & the China International Bakery, Confectionery and Western Cuisine Ingredients and Equipment Exhibition,” the event adopted its current name at its ninth edition. For the first time among domestic food exhibitions, it introduced product-category–based exhibition zones—covering equipment and utensils, raw materials and additives, and mooncake fillings and packaging—marking a significant step toward international standards. Today, it stands as the largest and most prestigious professional baking exhibition in China.

The Guangzhou International Bakery Exhibition (CHINA BAKERY EXHIBITION) will bring together over 200,000 buyers and more than 1,500 exhibitors from around the globe. The event will feature a diverse array of activities, including industry summits, forums, the “Bakery+” ecosystem, and themed exhibition areas, all designed to foster collaboration and drive growth across the baking, coffee, and tea‑drink sectors while exploring emerging industry trends.

Driven by economic development and evolving dietary patterns, the baking, food, and catering industries are embarking on a new wave of transformation, creating fresh opportunities for sustained growth. Concurrent with the exhibition, more than ten ancillary events will be held, blending exhibitions, conferences, competitions, and market‑style activities to celebrate global culinary delights, usher in the inaugural year of large‑scale baking, and unlock unprecedented business prospects.

The Guangzhou Bakery Exhibition (CHINA BAKERY EXHIBITION)has crafted the most impactful platform for business and trade exchanges within China’s baking sector, injecting robust and enduring momentum into the industry’s continued development.

The Exhibition Value of China (Guangzhou) International Bakery Expo

  • Pioneer of China’s professional bakery industry exhibition, a benchmark for the sector with thirty years of brand heritage.Established in 1997 and officially organized by the Baking Industry Association of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, this event is the country’s first specialized trade show dedicated to the baking industry. Over nearly three decades of development, it has amassed high‑quality products, technologies, and services spanning the entire upstream and downstream value chain. As the largest and most prestigious professional baking expo in China, it serves not only as a vital platform for monitoring the expansion of distribution channels, policy trends, and industry transformation within China’s baking and food‑and‑beverage sectors, but also as a strategic gateway for companies seeking to establish their market position and stay attuned to evolving market dynamics.
  • Comprehensive coverage of the entire industry value chain, fostering an integrated “Bakery+” food‑and‑beverage ecosystem.Exhibits span the full spectrum of the baking supply chain, including raw and auxiliary materials (specialized fats, dairy products, flours, premixes, fillings), food additives, baking equipment and tools (ovens, production lines, packaging machinery), packaging and decorative materials, mooncakes and fillings, frozen doughs, store‑front displays, and cold‑chain solutions. In synergy with HOTELEX Guangzhou—International Hotel Supplies and Foodservice Expo—and FHC South China International Food & Beverage Exhibition, the event forms the “Guangzhou International Bakery + Food & Beverage Industry Joint Show,” integrating resources from the broader hospitality, premium food, and multi‑chain sectors to expand the industry’s ecosystem and create cross‑sector collaboration opportunities for exhibitors.
  • Attracting global buyer networks, delivering significant international procurement outcomes. The 2025 edition drew nearly 1,000 exhibiting companies from 35 countries and regions, with over 30,000 professional visitors. Through targeted outreach to embassies and consulates, domestic and international food‑and‑beverage industry associations, as well as multi‑channel promotion via social media platforms and specialized media outlets, the event effectively reached high‑value buyers both at home and abroad. It provided an efficient platform enabling global buyers to converge across vast distances at a central hub of business opportunities, helping Chinese baking enterprises connect with international markets and advancing mutual prosperity throughout the global baking industry.
  • A five‑in‑one format—exhibition, conference, competition, showcase, and marketplace—driving industry innovation and talent development. With a record‑breaking 23 concurrent professional events, the expo has established a comprehensive B2B value‑creation platform. The “2025 ‘Innovation & Growth’ China Bakery Industry Development Conference” unveiled the “2025 White Paper on Healthy Baking and Food‑and‑Bev Consumption Trends in China,” highlighting key trends toward healthier baking practices. The second “Nanqiao Cup” International Chinese Pastry Championship brought together esteemed judges and competitors from around the world, using competition to spur innovation and technical advancement. Meanwhile, the establishment of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Bay Area Bakers Club has promoted collaborative innovation across the region’s baking value chain, supporting the development of a regional talent hub.
  • Providing systematic solutions to address emerging growth opportunities in the era of stock‑based consumption. The expo delves deeply into critical pain points such as the transition from frozen to fresh baked goods, supermarket retail, food safety, and cold‑chain logistics. A private board meeting titled “Mengniu Professional Dairy: Transforming Frozen into Fresh Baked Goods—Industry Development and Channel Expansion” systematically explored end‑to‑end transformation strategies, from production to consumption. Additionally, the “Bakery Product Bestseller Supply Chain Conference and Leading Channel Procurement Matchmaking Event” attracted nearly 40 top-tier channel platforms, each with annual GMV exceeding RMB 100 million, forging robust partnerships between brands and distributors and driving deep collaboration across the entire value chain.

From May 10 to 12, 2025, the 28th China Bakery Exhibition, together with FOOD PLUS Guangzhou, was successfully held at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou. Co-organized by the All-China Federation of Bakery Industry and Shanghai Intex Exhibition Co., Ltd., the event comprehensively showcased the industry’s achievements and immense potential, serving as the sector’s inaugural highlight of the year and effectively catalyzing new growth momentum.

The exhibition was of monumental scale, bringing together cutting-edge innovations across the entire value chain. This edition spanned 150,000 square meters, attracting nearly 1,000 leading domestic and international brands. Exhibits covered the full spectrum of the baking and food‑and‑beverage industries, including raw and auxiliary ingredients, mooncakes and fillings, food packaging, baking machinery and equipment, pre‑baked products, and snack foods. The show also integrated coffee and tea beverages, hotel and catering services, and franchise sectors, fostering a global “Baking Plus” ecosystem and providing professional buyers with an efficient B2B value‑delivery platform.

A rich array of concurrent events enriched the program, facilitating in-depth industry dialogue. During the exhibition, 23 specialized side events were staged, creating a comprehensive B2B value‑chain platform. The “2025 ‘Innovation & Growth’ China Bakery Industry Development Conference” unveiled the “2025 White Paper on Healthy Baking and Food‑and‑Beverage Consumption Trends in China,” highlighting key insights such as the surging demand for functional ingredients. Meanwhile, the second “Nanqiao Cup” International Chinese Pastry Championship concluded successfully, drawing esteemed judges and competitors from around the world. Additional initiatives included the “Frozen-to-Fresh” Private Board on Bakery Industry Development and the Bakery Product Bestseller Supply Chain Conference, further advancing collaborative upgrades throughout the value chain.

Top-tier distribution channels converged, yielding remarkable business‑matching results. The venue buzzed with activity, hosting intensive business negotiations that brought together representatives from over 30 leading enterprises, including Happiness Western Bakery, Mengniu Dairy, LIGAO Foods, and Fonterra. The “Leading Channel Procurement Matchmaking Session” drew nearly 40 top-tier e‑commerce platforms—such as Meiwan, Onion Group, Chuanghuo, Jingling Group, and 7‑Eleven—each boasting annual GMV exceeding RMB 100 million, thereby breaking down traditional supply‑demand barriers.

Talent development and regional collaboration empower the industry’s future. The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Baker Club was officially launched during the exhibition, aiming to drive collaborative innovation across the region’s baking value chain. Through continuous innovation and cooperation, baking and food‑and‑beverage professionals are paving the way for a new chapter of industrial upgrading.
