Exhibition Introduction
The Value of Participating in the China (Shenzhen) High-Tech Fair
- China’s premier technology fair and a national benchmark for high-tech industries. Since its inception in 1999, the High-Tech Fair has been co-hosted by multiple national ministries—including the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Chinese Academy of Engineering—as well as the Shenzhen Municipal Government. Approved by the State Council, it stands as a nationally and internationally recognized event for trading cutting-edge technological achievements. Over more than two decades of development, the fair has grown into China’s largest and most influential technology expo, earning the title “China’s Premier Technology Fair.” Its scale, exhibitor caliber, visitor quality, and transaction outcomes consistently set the tone for global high-tech industry trends.
- Comprehensive coverage across the entire industrial chain, spotlighting前沿科技新成果. Exhibits span critical areas such as major national equipment, artificial intelligence and robotics, semiconductors and integrated circuits, consumer electronics, the low-altitude economy and commercial aerospace, biotechnology and high-end medical devices, new materials and renewable energy, the digital economy, smart terminals, sports technology, intelligent mobility, and the metaverse. Each year, over 90% of physical exhibits represent advanced, high-precision, and frontier technologies, with more than 20% debuting globally or nationally for the first time. From iconic national projects like the Long March rockets and the Deep Sea No. 1 offshore oil and gas platform to homegrown innovations such as the open-source HarmonyOS ecosystem, Ascend AI super-nodes, and indigenous large-scale models, the fair fully showcases China’s robust technological prowess.
- Bringing together global buyers and investment institutions to create an efficient financing platform. Every year, the fair attracts international organizations, renowned enterprises, industry leaders, and discerning professionals from over 100 countries and regions worldwide. The organizing committee implements the “136” buyer strategy, precisely inviting high-quality professional buyers—10% international, 30% provincial, and 60% out-of-province. Simultaneously, thousands of domestic and international investment firms, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Sequoia Capital, and IDG Capital, participate onsite, providing participating companies with direct access to capital and strategic platforms for facilitating transactions, driving record-breaking deal values and investment commitments.
- Leading industry innovation and fostering deep collaboration among academia, industry, and research. Beyond being a mere product showcase, the fair serves as a high-level forum for intellectual exchange and knowledge sharing. During the event, more than 200 major activities are held, including the China High-Tech Forum, the Artificial Intelligence Industry Innovation Forum, and the Low-Altitude Economy Industry Summit. Dozens of academicians and numerous industry experts convene to analyze emerging trends in technological development. Top universities and research institutes—including Tsinghua University, Peking University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences—present their latest findings, promoting deep integration between academia, industry, and research, and accelerating the translation of scientific advances into practical applications.
- A national platform for regional collaborative innovation, connecting global resources. For the first time, the fair established a “Regional Economic and Technological Innovation Zone,” showcasing the latest advancements across China—from clean energy in the northwest to the digital economy in the southeast, from high-end equipment in the northeast to cutting-edge technologies in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Additionally, special zones were designated for international sister-city collaborations and Belt and Road international partnerships, highlighting outstanding achievements in using technological innovation to support high-quality Belt and Road development, thereby providing participating companies with a national platform to connect with global resources and expand overseas markets.
