Exhibition Introduction
The Exhibitor Value of the Shenyang International Equipment Manufacturing Expo (CIEME)
- China’s only large-scale national economic and trade exhibition approved by the State Council in the equipment manufacturing sector. Since its inception in 2002, CIEME has been successfully held for 23 consecutive editions, making it the fifth nationally approved expo after the Shenzhen High-Tech Fair, Beijing Science and Technology Expo, and Shanghai Industrial Expo. As the highest-specification professional exhibition in China’s equipment manufacturing field and the largest in northern China, CIEME serves as a strategic gateway for multinational corporations entering China and for Chinese equipment manufacturers expanding globally.
- Comprehensive coverage of the entire industry chain, with all twelve major exhibition zones on full display. With an exhibition area of 90,000 square meters, CIEME features 12 specialized zones, including an international zone, a machine tool zone, an industrial automation/robotics zone, and an industrial cultural tourism zone. Exhibits span high-end CNC machine tools, industrial robots, smart manufacturing systems, heavy-duty machinery, military equipment, mining gear, power transmission and transformation equipment, construction machinery, and general-purpose and specialized devices, showcasing over 1,000 localized intelligent solutions for key industry applications and addressing more than 100 specific technical upgrade and advanced production pain-point issues.
- A premier hub for international resource networking, where world-leading enterprises compete side by side. CIEME attracts international brands such as Siemens, Mobil, Fuji Electric, Tsurumi, Yuyao, Nachi-Fujikoshi, Yamazaki Mazak, Haas, Hardinge, Mitsubishi, Heck, Doosan, WIA, Precise Mill, Yaskawa, Fanuc, ABB, KUKA, MAR, Daisho, Trumpf, and Bystronic, alongside leading domestic enterprises including China General Technology Group, Northern Heavy Industries, Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, Shenyang Blower Group, Huawei, Baidu, Huazhong CNC, Guangzhou CNC, Shenyang Machine Tool, Dazhu Laser, Yawei Shares, Benteng Laser, Syntec Robot, Gree Electric, CRRC Heavy Industry, Liming Aero-Engine, Dongsoft Group, and Yuanda Group.
- An innovative model of exhibition–trade synergy, building an efficient closed-loop matchmaking system. CIEME collaborates closely with Shenyang’s Manufacturing Industry Economic and Trade Activity Week, forming a complete “exhibition–attraction–negotiation–transaction” value chain. On opening day, the “Belt and Road” countries’ buyer matchmaking event drew over 50 international buyers from 18 nations, securing intended procurement commitments worth RMB 410 million. The online cloud exhibition attracted more than 1,500 participating enterprises, with virtual attendance exceeding 230,000, supported by four major data centers, a database of 3.5 million buyers, and over 100 community channels, enabling precise matchmaking and sustained connections.
- Online–offline integration empowers a never-ending matchmaking platform. By adopting a dual-drive approach of “online cloud exhibition plus offline expo,” CIEME leverages a precision buyer database covering 80% of the equipment manufacturing sector and achieves multi-million-dollar brand exposure through promotion via over 100 mainstream industry media outlets, effectively overcoming the geographical limitations of offline exhibitions and enabling small and medium-sized manufacturers to tap into cloud-based traffic to find partners.
- A benchmark for Northeast Asian manufacturing development, fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. Concurrent with CIEME, events such as central state-owned enterprise and industry leader buyer matchmaking sessions, forums advancing innovation in key smart manufacturing technologies and equipment, and exchange roadshows on the integrated development of human resources services and manufacturing were held. Northern Heavy Industries showcased a hard-rock deep vertical shaft reaming tunneling machine, representing the pinnacle of current vertical shaft tunneling technology, while Huawei introduced an AI-powered laser scanning welding robot that breaks through traditional welding methods. The inaugural “Shenyang Craftsmen’s Day,” held in conjunction with CIEME, enabled direct alignment between 200 innovative projects and enterprise needs, establishing a comprehensive ecosystem of “technological innovation + artisan spirit + industrial revitalization.”
