The Exhibition Value of the National Hardware Fair in Autumn
- The National Hardware Fair in Autumn (commonly referred to as the Autumn Fair) is one of the longest-running and largest specialized events in China’s hardware industry. Since its inception in 1952, it has been held continuously for 74 sessions and is widely recognized within the sector as the “parliament” of the hardware industry and a key indicator of trends in the northern hardware market. Organized by the China National Hardware & Electrical Appliance & Chemical Industry Association, the fair established its permanent venue in Linyi in 2017. Leveraging Linyi’s robust industrial foundation as “China’s Hardware Industry and Trade City” and its superior commercial and logistics advantages, the event has grown into the second-largest specialized hardware exhibition in China, following the Shanghai Hardware Fair, thus shaping an industry landscape characterized by “the Shanghai Spring Fair in the south and the Linyi Autumn Fair in the north.”
- The core value of participating lies in its unparalleled historical legacy and its role as a platform that precisely connects with the northern market. With a 73-year history, the fair encompasses upstream and downstream resources across the national hardware industry chain, attracting professional buyers from all regions of China. At the 74th edition in 2025, the exhibition space will span 70,000 square meters, hosting 1,627 exhibiting companies—equivalent to 3,319 international-standard booths—and setting new records for both exhibitor numbers and overall scale since the fair’s relocation to Linyi. Professional visitors will include representatives from hardware and electrical appliance associations in more than thirty provinces and municipalities nationwide, such as Fujian, Hubei, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Anhui, Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Zhejiang, Chongqing, Xinjiang, as well as domestic and international buyer delegations.
- The fair has established a one-stop trading platform covering the entire hardware industry chain. Exhibits span twelve major categories—including hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, machinery, welding equipment, electromechanical products, abrasives and grinding tools, security and protective gear, hardware products, manufacturing equipment, and low-voltage electrical appliances—comprising over 200 sub‑categories. At the 2025 fair, leading industry players such as Great Wall Precision, Deli Tools, Dongcheng Power Tools, Yingmai Tools, Changlu Tools, Tes Tools, Juli Tools, Rongshida Group, Yangfan Cable, Xingyu Labor Protection, and Dengsheng Labor Protection will showcase their flagship products, highlighting cutting-edge technological advances and innovative growth potential in the hardware sector.
- Keeping pace with two major industry trends—expanding overseas markets and digital transformation—the fair has created a high‑tech hub fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. In 2025, the fair will feature two dedicated initiatives: the “Hundred Delegations, Thousand Enterprises: Empowering Hardware Companies to Go Global” program, which brings together seasoned cross‑border e‑commerce experts to address challenges ranging from beginner-level foreign trade fundamentals and team building to customer acquisition strategies, emerging cross‑border business models, logistics and payment solutions, and export tax rebate policies—providing comprehensive support throughout the entire export process. Concurrently, the “Alibaba.com Cross‑Border E‑Commerce Development Forum for the Hardware Industry” will convene to share global market‑entry strategies and cross‑border traffic‑management techniques. Additionally, the fair will host the second edition of the Hardware Industry Innovation and Digital Growth Forum, focusing on pain points in digital transformation and helping enterprises leverage smart‑digital technologies to unlock new growth drivers.
- For Chinese enterprises, this fair serves as a strategic gateway to tap into the northern market, connect with national resources, and showcase their innovative capabilities. Adopting a dual‑mode online‑offline format, the fair leverages accumulated industry data to develop the “Handheld Hardware” mini‑program, offering exhibitors year-round online exposure and supply‑demand matchmaking, effectively creating an “ever‑open Autumn Fair.” As a vital base and distribution center for the hardware industry within the Bohai Rim Economic Circle, Linyi currently hosts 15 wholesale markets for hardware products, with an annual transaction volume of RMB 35 billion, abundant industrial resources, and extensive regional reach. Participating companies can use this platform to access nationwide procurement networks and seize early opportunities in the intelligent, high‑end, and international transformation of the hardware sector.
