Guangzhou International Tourism Industry Exhibition – Guangdong Travel Expo

The Guangzhou International Tourism Industry Exhibition (CITIE, hereinafter referred to as the Guangdong Travel Expo) has been held since its inception in 2005.Originally known as the Guangdong International Tourism Exhibition, it is one of the key ancillary events of the Guangdong International Tourism Culture Festival.Rooted in China’s most important source market for outbound tourists, the expo brings together premium global tourism destinations, service providers, and suppliers, focusing on integrated B2B showcases and B2C sales, thereby offering a platform for information exchange, promotional display, and product procurement for the domestic and international tourism industries.

In 2011, with approval from the China National Tourism Administration, the event was officially renamed the China (Guangdong) International Tourism Industry Expo, elevating its status to a national-level tourism trade fair; that same year, the Standing Committee of the Guangdong Provincial Government decided to hold it annually, aiming to establish it as an internationally renowned tourism exhibition brand. Through years of brand development, the Guangdong Travel Expo has become China’s most globally oriented and commercially successful comprehensive international tourism exhibition.

By facilitating face-to-face negotiations with international organizations and professional buyers, promoting inbound tourism, “culture + industry” initiatives, and global commodity markets, the expo has successfully connected numerous high-quality overseas destinations with international purchasers, sending a strong signal worldwide of the robust growth potential of the Greater Bay Area’s cultural and tourism sector.

Guangzhou International Tourism Industry Exhibition – Guangdong Travel Expo tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit. On site, verify entry with your ID card or by scanning the e-ticket QR code.
