Profile

The Frankfurter Buchmesse has become the world's largest and most important book trade center. It is a grand event for the global publishing industry, acclaimed as the "Barometer of World Culture" and the "Olympics of the Publishing World." Established in 1949 by the German Publishers and Booksellers Association, this international book exhibition operates under the principle of "allowing all publishers worldwide to exhibit any books."

As the largest publishing industry exhibition globally, the Frankfurter Buchmesse holds immense influence in the world's book publishing and cultural sectors. It serves as a crucial platform for publishing institutions worldwide to actively showcase their publishing and innovative achievements, and to enhance industry communication and exchange. According to official data from the Frankfurter Buchmesse, the number of Chinese publishing institutions participating this year is the highest in nearly five years. Chinese exhibitors presented a dazzling array of distinctive books and publications, and hosted special events centered on cultural exchange and mutual learning between China and foreign countries, rights trading, cultural dissemination, and technological development opportunities.

The China International Book Trading Corporation (CIBTC) is the only Chinese exhibitor to have participated 50 times, and recently held a commemorative event for its 50th anniversary at the fair. Lu Cairong, Vice President of CIBTC, stated that international book fairs like the Frankfurter Buchmesse act as a unique "medium," providing a platform for cultural exchange and mutual learning among nations, effectively facilitating the "going global" of Chinese culture.

Nearly a hundred Chinese publishing units brought over 5,000 premium books and publications to the fair, hosting more than ten outstanding events that integrate Chinese and foreign civilizations and promote exchange and mutual learning, becoming a brilliant highlight of the exhibition. Chinese publishing representatives participating in the fair generally expressed that the Frankfurter Buchmesse, with its massive global scale and high influence, offers a window into industry development trends and opportunities. They look forward to leveraging this platform to engage in extensive exchanges with various publishing institutions worldwide, deepen their understanding of industry trends and emerging fields, advance international publishing cooperation, and jointly seize opportunities and meet challenges amidst transformation.

Juzhan has repeatedly organized high-quality enterprises to participate! The Frankfurter Buchmesse has become a vital medium for domestic book publishers to export copyrights internationally, as well as a primary channel for market expansion.

Frankfurter Buchmesse tickets are e-tickets. Domestic and international visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name passport verification. After purchase, the organizer verifies visitor identity. Visitors who do not meet entry requirements may need to submit additional documents. Once approved, you will receive email confirmation or a QR code. On site, present your original passport and confirmation letter to collect a paper badge, or scan the QR code to enter.
