For the 2026 edition, the exhibition is expected to cover 20,000 square meters, host approximately 800 exhibitors, and attract over 42,000 professional visitors.
  • Trendsetting Youthfulness and Fashionability Driving the Southwest MarketAs post‑90s and post‑00s generations emerge as the primary drivers of gift consumption, the show features an array of youthful, trend‑forward offerings—exquisite bags, creative throw pillows, charming ceramics, and cutting‑edge digital gadgets—directly addressing the needs of younger consumers. In collaboration with the Chengdu Animation & Game Association, the event also introduces the “Trend Awakening • Collectibles Zone,” showcasing popular super IPs and anime‑related merchandise, igniting young consumers’ passion for collecting. Additionally, a Thai delegation makes its debut, presenting specialty products such as food items, household goods, and handcrafted artistry, further enriching the exhibition’s international flavor.
  • Smart Technology Gifts Make Their DebutEmpowering gifts through technology, this year’s show sees a concentrated showcase of AI‑enabled smart gifts: intelligent electronic writing tablets that seamlessly blend technology with traditional writing, unlocking new ways to work efficiently; and smart learning pens that combine educational support with practical utility, becoming premium choices for educational and stationery gifts. These AI‑powered innovations span multiple scenarios—including office use, education, and everyday life—injecting fresh technological vitality into the gift market.

Concurrently, the event hosts the “Chengdu Gift” Tourism Product Creative Design Competition, identifying outstanding works that incorporate Chengdu’s unique elements, blend local culture with contemporary creativity, and drive innovation in the design and market integration of Chengdu’s cultural and tourism‑related products. Regional specialties such as Guizhou embroidery and traditional tie-dye techniques, eco‑friendly recycled art paper made from panda dung, giant panda–themed IP merchandise, Sanxingdui-inspired designs, and Sichuan Opera face‑changing motifs are showcased, breathing new life into traditional culture through the medium of giftware.

The 17th China (Chengdu) Gift and Home Products Exhibition & Cultural & Creative Tourism Products Expo 2025 was successfully held from June 19 to 21 at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center. Hosted by Reed Exhibitions Huabo (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., this event is the most significant annual trade show for the gift and cultural‑creative tourism industries in Southwest China.

Exhibition Space and Exhibitor Scale Remain Strong. This edition featured an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters, bringing together approximately 700 high‑quality exhibitors from across China and showcasing 50,000 innovative gift items spanning more than 20 popular categories. The event attracted over 42,000 professional visitors, including gift companies, agents, distributors, wholesalers, department stores, supermarkets, and corporate buyers—covering all procurement channels. For the first time, a Thai delegation participated, presenting products such as food, household goods, handicrafts, and cosmetics, drawing significant attention from both industry representatives and general attendees. Ten representative small and medium‑sized enterprises from Thailand were specially invited to exhibit.

Exhibitor Portfolio Demonstrates Diversity and Professionalism. Well‑known brands such as Shulei, Mercury Home Textiles, Tanxin Bi Jian, and Zhengfu 0 made prominent appearances. Leading source‑factory clusters—including Fujian Dehua and Hebei Tangshan ceramic hubs, Nantong home textile base, and the Guangzhou–Shenzhen electronics industrial belt—were also fully represented. In the cultural‑creative sector, top national players like Beijing Qinghong Zaobai Culture, Sichuan Panda Bianbianbian, and Zhejiang Wanwu Youling entered the Southwest market, while manufacturers of tourist souvenirs—including badges, refrigerator magnets, paper goods, and canvas bags—participated concurrently.

Showcase Highlights Abound, with Cultural Creativity and Intangible Cultural Heritage as Core Themes.Giant panda–themed IP‑based cultural and creative products emerged as the exhibition’s biggest highlight, with Sichuan Zhengdian Trading Co., Ltd. drawing the largest crowds to its booth. Stationery, toys, and everyday items featuring panda motifs attracted numerous distributors eager to strike deals, resulting in dozens of new WeChat contacts within just half a day. Meanwhile, Guizhou Embroiderers’ Cultural Exhibition showcased the exquisite tie-dye craft—a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage—leaving attendees thoroughly impressed. Pandabianbianbiang Creative, leveraging eco‑friendly recycling from panda feces and food residues, has developed limited‑edition art paper and a range of innovative文创 products. Purchasers from the Sanxingdui Museum, Panda House, and other cultural‑tourism and creative‑product sectors flocked to the venue for on‑site visits.

“Chengdu Gifts” Zone Showcases Urban Cultural Souvenirs. Concurrent with the exhibition, the 2025 “Chengdu Gifts” Tourism Product Creative Design Competition was held, and a dedicated “Chengdu Gifts” zone was set up to publicly display hundreds of thoughtfully designed, Chengdu‑inspired souvenirs. Past award‑winning entries—including the “Floral‑Dance Panda,” inspired by the giant panda; the “Half‑Gold Mask Pairing Gift Box,” drawing inspiration from Sanxingdui culture; and the “Mandarin Duck Hot Pot Creative Building Block Series,” blending Sichuan culinary flair—have all successfully transitioned into commercial products, becoming best‑selling cultural‑tourism items.

Trendy, Youth‑Oriented Products Ignite the Venue. The exhibition brought together a wealth of youthful, influencer‑driven, and highly buzzworthy products. For the first time, in collaboration with the Chengdu Animation & Game Association and Wanju Fang, the “Trend Awakening • Playful Treasures” zone was created, showcasing nearly 100 of the latest, most fashionable figurines, anime‑related merchandise, and related accessories. Xiao Jinxi’s gold‑art paintings, themed “Gold and Silver Paintings as Gifts to Cherished Friends,” combine pure gold with contemporary techniques, priced at several hundred yuan each, and have won favor among young consumers. Meanwhile, the Automatic Eternal Pen compresses the graphite cores of 1,000 pencils into a single unit, embodying both environmental sustainability and the emotional resonance of enduring partnerships.

Innovation and Personalization Set New Trends in the Gift Industry. Consumers increasingly seek products that carry emotional value and tell unique stories, making innovation and individuality key drivers of appeal. Merchants are taking unconventional approaches, crafting gifts that are not only practical but also convey heartfelt connections—some exhibitors use gold and silver in their artwork to fuse traditional aesthetics with modern design, while others promote “eternal” pens as symbols of lasting bonds, ensuring that gifts remain both functional and emotionally resonant.

Exhibitors and Industry Respond Enthusiastically. The Executive President of the Zhao Zilong Culture Research Association of Hebei Province attended the show for the first time as a buyer and easily identified several promising partners in the cultural‑creative supply chain on-site. Meanwhile, the head of the Thai delegation reported that numerous Chinese distributors extended collaboration offers on the very first day of the event. Exhibiting companies generally noted the high caliber of professional buyers and their clear purchasing intent. Attendees agreed that, after 17 years of development, the Chengdu Gifts & Home Products Exhibition has become the most influential specialized trade fair for gifts and cultural‑creative products in Southwest China, serving as a strategic platform for companies to showcase their offerings, connect with customers, gain insights into market trends, and expand into the western Chinese market.
