Guangzhou Global Unmanned Systems Conference

The 8th Global Unmanned Systems Conference (GUSC) 2025 and the 2025 International Low-Altitude Economy Trade Expo (Guangzhou) were successfully held from December 12 to 14, 2025, at the Guangzhou Canton Fair Complex. This edition of the conference was themed “Innovating Low Altitude, Serving Global Trade,” adopting a diversified format that combined dynamic and static elements, exhibitions with conferences, and indoor and outdoor experiences, encompassing six major thematic areas: conferences, exhibitions, performances, investment promotion, financing, and trade.

In terms of scale, the exhibition spanned 60,000 square meters, bringing together over 300 to 350 exhibitors from around the world, attracting more than 50,000 professional visitors from over 50 countries and regions. Exhibitors and attendees represented the entire low-altitude economy value chain, underscoring the event’s strong industry reach and international influence.

This year’s conference featured numerous highlights, with full-chain demonstrations taking center stage. Exhibition zones included core product areas, supply-chain sections, and service-trade pavilions, showcasing cutting-edge products, technologies, and application scenarios across eVTOLs, unmanned aerial vehicles, autonomous systems, intelligent robots, low-altitude smart networks, radar countermeasures, payloads, infrastructure, and investment‑leasing solutions. EHang showcased its EH216‑S fully autonomous manned aircraft—the first globally to obtain a complete set of airworthiness certifications; Xpeng Huitian presented its prototype of the “Land Aircraft Carrier,” a split‑type flying car, with pre‑order volumes already exceeding 7,000 units; meanwhile, the emerging company Wanfei Linghang launched pre‑sales for four distinct flight platforms, becoming one of the first in China to achieve mass production of tiltrotor drones.

A rich array of concurrent events created a high‑end platform for industry dialogue. Alongside the main forum, eight high‑profile parallel sessions were held, including the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area Low‑Altitude Economy Collaborative Development Forum, the Low‑Altitude Economy Technology Innovation and Industrial Outbound Forum, the eVTOL Technology Innovation and Industry Development Forum, and the Low‑Altitude Infrastructure and Smart Network Forum. Renowned experts such as Academician Xiang Jinwu and Academician Fan Huitao of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Foreign Academicians Ma Xin and Xie Shengli of the Russian Academy of Engineering, and Foreign Academician Chen Junlong of the European Academy of Sciences addressed key issues related to low‑altitude safety, technological innovation, and industrial expansion, providing strategic guidance for the sector’s development. The conference also hosted the “Golden Wing Awards” ceremony, honoring enterprises, institutions, and individuals who have achieved outstanding results in the low‑altitude economy and unmanned systems fields this year.

An innovative trade‑service model emerged as a major highlight of this year’s event. For the first time, the conference introduced the “1+5+N” innovative trade‑service framework, centered on ecosystem‑based export services across all industry scenarios. By connecting international capital, identifying global market demand, fostering multi‑dimensional innovation within the production‑trade ecosystem, efficiently aggregating global supply chains, and leveraging digital tools to enhance industrial services, the model supports five key trade ecosystems while organizing multiple targeted matchmaking events, offering enterprises end‑to‑end lifecycle support. According to the organizing committee, this approach seeks to address longstanding challenges in the low‑altitude economy—namely, limited application scenarios, difficulty in achieving profitability, and a lack of standardized frameworks—helping companies transition from selling individual products to delivering integrated “technology + standards + operations” solutions.

The outcomes of the expo and the industry response were overwhelmingly positive. At the opening ceremony, more than ten leading enterprises—including Zhongfei Intelligence, Zhongke Yuntu, Yunzhiyi Group, Berna Farnaval Sharif Group, and Fusha Aviation—announced collaborative agreements totaling over RMB 3 billion, covering aircraft procurement, joint construction of cross‑border science and technology centers, platform development, and ecosystem‑level safeguards. These partnerships mark a new phase in Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao cooperation and cross‑border low‑altitude economic collaboration. Meanwhile, the Zhuhai Unmanned Systems Association, in partnership with the Shenzhen Branch of China Pacific Property Insurance Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Fanmo Technology Co., Ltd., established a novel “Insurance + Technology + Risk Control” ecosystem spanning the entire low‑altitude economy, providing robust risk‑mitigation capabilities to support enterprises’ overseas expansion and technology deployment.

Attendees generally agreed that the GUSC not only serves as an excellent platform for brand exposure and business matchmaking but also functions as a critical hub for understanding industry trends and exploring pathways toward high‑quality development in the low‑altitude economy. Hosting the event in Guangzhou for the first time reflects the Greater Bay Area’s strategic vision to optimize industrial layouts through a global lens, building a world‑class low‑altitude economic cluster that moves beyond exceptional manufacturing and large‑scale applications to embrace rule‑based innovation and globally competitive services.
