The Value of Exhibiting at INDEX DUBAI

  • The Largest and Longest‑Running Interior Design and Furniture Trade Show in the Middle East and North Africa: Organized by DMG Events, INDEX DUBAI has been held annually since its inception in 1991, making it the most influential professional exhibition for interior design, furniture, and decorative materials in the MENA region. Held each year at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the show is widely recognized as a key indicator of trends in the Middle East’s interior design sector and a pivotal gateway for global furniture brands seeking to enter the MENA market.
  • A One‑Stop Platform Covering the Entire Industry Chain: The exhibition encompasses the full spectrum of the industry, including furniture and components, lighting fixtures, kitchen and bathroom solutions, textiles and soft furnishings, flooring and wall coverings, smart home systems, interior design services, and comprehensive renovation solutions. From luxury furniture to smart home technologies, and from eco‑friendly building materials to customized design solutions, exhibitors can seamlessly connect with buyers across all stages of the value chain—showcasing products, enhancing brand visibility, and engaging in business negotiations.
  • Precise Access to Core Buyers and Distribution Channels in the Middle East and Globally: In 2025, the event will bring together 533 exhibiting companies and attract over 30,000 professional visitors from more than 110 countries. Among the attendees, interior designers and architects account for 56%, corporate executives for 15%, and retailers and wholesalers for 11%. Exhibitors gain direct access to some of the Middle East’s most influential purchasing decision‑makers, including hotel developers, real estate project procurement leaders, and heads of design firms.
  • Unique Value for Chinese Enterprises: A Strategic Engine for Expanding into the Middle East Market: The Middle East’s interior design market is valued at approximately USD 25 billion, with projections indicating growth to USD 35 billion by 2031. As a regional commercial hub, Dubai serves as a gateway to the Gulf Cooperation Council, African markets, and South Asia. Chinese furniture and decorative material manufacturers, leveraging their complete supply chains and cost‑effectiveness, have demonstrated strong competitiveness in this dynamic market. At the 2025 edition, India will be represented by 55 companies, while Chinese exhibitors continue to play an active role. Concurrent with INDEX DUBAI, related exhibitions such as THE HOTEL SHOW, WORKSPACE, and KIDSPACE will take place, covering hospitality, office spaces, and children’s environments, providing exhibitors with diversified opportunities to connect with target audiences.
  • A Vanguard for Technological Innovation and Industry Trends: Customized luxury, sensory‑immersive designs, sustainable materials, and hybrid workspaces emerged as the four major trends at the show. Al Huzaifa Design Studio unveiled its Signature Closet high‑end custom wardrobe collection; Kastel celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Kicca chair with new color palettes and modular configurations; SANIPEX Group showcased its Studio 316 and Toko Groove series, featuring raspberry‑colored stainless steel and brass finishes inspired by 1970s aesthetics. Meanwhile, Colab and Lazza collaborated to create “The Sweet Spot,” an immersive experience space highlighting regional innovations in eco‑friendly materials, including Dateform (made from date‑palm cores), PlyPalm (palm‑fiber panels), and DesertBoard (the world’s first engineered wood panel using palm fibers).
  • In‑Depth Networking Opportunities through High‑Profile Forums and Industry Resources: Alongside the main exhibition, INDEX Design Talks and the Workspace Summit were held, with stage designs curated by 4SPACE and Bluehaus Group. A total of 114 industry leaders shared insights on topics such as sensory design, AI integration, sustainable development, and customer engagement—nearly half of whom made their debut appearances. Exhibition Review

INDEX DUBAI 2025 was successfully held from May 27 to 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Organized by DMG Events, this year’s edition was themed “The Future of Design: More Personalized, Immersive, Sustainable, and Human-Centric,” making it the most significant annual trade event for the interior design industry in the Middle East and North Africa.

In terms of scale, the exhibition brought together 533 exhibiting companies across multiple halls, attracting over 30,000 professional visitors from more than 110 countries. Concurrently, four complementary exhibitions—THE HOTEL SHOW, WORKSPACE, KIDSPACE, and LEISURE SHOW—were held, creating a comprehensive commercial ecosystem spanning hospitality, office spaces, children’s environments, and fitness & leisure sectors. INDEX Design Talks was hosted on the 4SPACE design stage, while the Workspace Summit was curated by Bluehaus Group, with a total of 114 sessions organized.

The exhibitor lineup showcased international reach and leadership. In the furniture sector, Al Huzaifa Design Studio debuted its Signature Closet premium wardrobe collection at INDEX, designed and manufactured locally in the UAE. Kastel celebrated the 20th anniversary of its Kicca chair, unveiling new color palettes, complementary table designs, and modular configurations. Montalbano presented an immersive three-part booth concept: the Privee space, created in collaboration with House of Pianos, featured live piano performances that transported visitors to Tuscany; the Mindful Zone, developed with Admiral World, offered acoustically tuned high-performance seating; and the VIP Lounge used tactile storytelling to convey luxury and comfort. Meanwhile, Motif Interiors’ Social Café installation, spanning 1,025 square feet, served as a prototype for a “third space,” integrating biophilic elements, an aromatherapy zone, and digital touchpoints via an app.

In the bathroom and kitchen segments, SANIPEX Group showcased its Studio 316 and Toko Groove collections, featuring bold hues and textures such as raspberry-colored stainless steel and PVD Gold brass finishes. As a sponsor of INDEX Design Talks, Geberit highlighted precision-engineered solutions like AquaClean Alba and iCon WC with TurboFlush.

Sustainable materials emerged as a central highlight of this year’s show. Colab and Lazza co‑launched “The Sweet Spot,” an immersive experience space that spotlighted innovative eco‑friendly materials from various regions: Dateform (the world’s first solid surface material made from date seed cores), Alchemy (100% recycled plastic panels crafted from UAE construction waste), PlyPalm (palm‑fiber boards), DesertBoard (the world’s first engineered wood panel using palm fibers), Dunecrete (a composite material blending desert sand and concrete), and Datecrete (the world’s first cement formulation based on date seed cores). Designed by Keane senior interior designer Marco Maximus, the space utilized DesertBoard as its primary construction material and incorporated display elements repurposed from recycled milk cartons, with a modular design ensuring all components are reusable. The area also featured an open‑plan co‑working and social zone supported by JUNG, complemented by iGuzzini’s Clan Mini wireless desk lamp and Modus Furniture’s Bob stool, crafted from reclaimed cork.

In the office space category, Interstuhl unveiled a fully interactive booth where visitors could test its latest offerings, including the Check chair, Shuffle Lounge, and Sustainable UP stool. Haworth not only exhibited acoustic pods and office systems but also hosted four expert panel discussions addressing topics such as greenwashing risks and data‑driven design. Hushoffice introduced its hushFree series of acoustic privacy pods, including and models, allowing users to adjust lighting and airflow in real time.

Sustainability permeated every aspect of the exhibition. Foliages suspended a 5-meter‑long inverted potted tree in Hall 1, with flame‑retardant greenery also adorning the Workspace Summit stage. Forbo Flooring Systems showcased Flotex elastic carpet textiles, combining the aesthetic appeal of traditional carpets with the durability of vinyl flooring.

The Indian delegation delivered a standout performance. Fifty-five Indian companies participated, occupying 250 square meters of exhibition space and covering sectors such as home textiles, handicrafts, and hotel supplies. Satish Kumar Sivan, India’s Consul General in Dubai, officially opened the Indian Pavilion. Under the framework of the India–UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), Indian textiles enjoy zero‑tariff market access, and their share in UAE imports has risen from 20–25% to 40%.
