InterBattery (Seoul Battery & Energy Storage Exhibition)

InterBattery (Seoul Battery & Energy Storage Exhibition) is hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) of South Korea, co-organized by the Korea Battery Industry Association (KBIA) and COEX, making it the largest battery exhibition in South Korea. A total of 688 companies from around the world participated, representing an increase of approximately 23% compared to last year's scale (579 companies and 1,896 booths).

The event featured South Korea's top three battery manufacturers, along with government delegations, research institutions, and enterprises from 13 countries including the United States, Japan, Chile, and Brazil. It showcased the latest trends in battery technology, drawing high attention from global industry professionals and media. New products and technologies covering the entire battery industry value chain—including battery raw materials, equipment & systems, battery manufacturing, and recycling & reuse—were prominently displayed.

Major Korean battery companies such as LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, SK On, LG Chem, LS Group, and Lotte Chemical participated. Notably, the number of Chinese exhibitors increased from 62 last year to 79 this year. Among them, BYD, the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer, and EVE Energy, China's fourth-largest power battery manufacturer, made their debut at the exhibition, attracting significant attention.

At the opening ceremony, Ahn Duk-geun, Minister of MOTIE, stated that the South Korean government will actively stimulate demand in the electric vehicle market and aims to expand the Energy Storage System (ESS) market size by up to 15 times by 2038, supporting the diversification of battery demand markets.

During InterBattery, supporting events such as battery seminars, battery industry job fairs, battery forums, and battery technology cooperation workshops will be held concurrently to share the latest battery technologies and information.
