The Value of Participating in the Dutch Cleaning Equipment Exhibition
- The Amsterdam Clean Show is the world’s oldest and most influential event in the cleaning industry, having been held annually since 1967. It is widely regarded as the “Oscar” of the global cleaning sector and a leading indicator of trends in the European market. Co-organized by RAI Amsterdam and the International Sanitation and Cleaning Association (ISSA), the biennial exhibition takes place in Amsterdam, with the 2026 edition scheduled for April 14–17. It represents an ideal platform for entering the European market.
- The core value of participation lies in its unparalleled international platform and its unique ability to connect exhibitors directly with global decision-makers. At the 2025 edition, the exhibition covered 80,000 square meters, hosted 892 exhibitors, and attracted 50,990 professional visitors. Among them, 75% were international market leaders in cleaning products, distribution, and entrepreneurship. With buyers from over 130 countries, 73% of attendees came from abroad, and more than 70% held purchasing decision-making authority, providing exhibitors with a strategic gateway to engage directly with key global buyers.
- The exhibition offers a one-stop commercial platform covering the entire cleaning value chain. Exhibits span cleaning machinery and equipment, cleaning tools and spare parts, detergents, indoor air purification technologies, and waste management and solid waste treatment systems. The show innovatively features four immersive experience centers: the Medical Cleaning Experience Pavilion (Hall 12) focuses on infection prevention and hygiene standards; the Hospitality Cleaning Experience Pavilion (Hall 8) introduces new segments on laundry care and pest control; the Outdoor Cleaning Experience Area (K Entrance) showcases real-world equipment demonstrations; and the Robotics Experience Pavilion (Hall 5) highlights cutting-edge advancements such as AI-guided navigation and autonomous cleaning robots.
- The exhibition aligns closely with the three major industry trends—automation, robotics, and sustainability—establishing a robust technological hub that integrates research, education, and practical application. The 2026 edition places particular emphasis on innovative applications showcased in the AI Cleaning Lab, where start-ups and industry experts collaborate to explore next-generation AI solutions for cleaning. Concurrently, the Amsterdam Innovation Awards (AIA) are being presented, featuring categories such as environmental sustainability, workforce development, and ergonomics. Throughout the event, over a hundred professional sessions are scheduled, including ISSA Knowledge Forums, ECHA European Cleaning and Hygiene Award sharing sessions, and specialized forums on sustainability and data technology. Exhibiting companies include Zvoove, Essity, Diversey, Toolsense, Excel Dryer, Werner & Mertz, and other internationally renowned brands.
- For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway to penetrate the European market, access international resources, and showcase their innovative capabilities. At the 2022 edition, Chinese companies secured their first Amsterdam Clean Innovation Award—Gauss Robotics won the Smart Technology and Digitalization Award for its commercial AI-powered cleaning robot. Chinese exhibitors included Gauss Robotics, DeepBlue Technology, Ouka Intelligent Ship, Xidi Intelligence, Guobang, Fan’er, Cleve, Tewos, Jieda, Rongjiang, Changqi, Yihong, XinChang Baide, Jiuyuan Textile, and Trico—all totaling 15 participating firms. Through this platform, Chinese companies can connect with global procurement networks and seize opportunities in the intelligent and green transformation of Europe’s cleaning industry.
