The Value of Participating in the Jinan Security Expo
- The Jinan Security Expo (JN JSDPE) is the largest and most specialized security industry event in East China and the Bohai Rim region. Since its inception in 2002, it has been successfully held for over twenty consecutive editions and is widely recognized in the industry as the largest provincial-level security expo in China (excluding Beijing and Shenzhen), serving as a key indicator of market trends in North China. The expo has been certified by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), becoming only the second security expo in China to receive this prestigious recognition, officially elevating its status among the world’s top-tier international exhibitions.
- The core value of participation lies in its role as a precise platform connecting key buyers across North China and neighboring regions. Situated at the intersection of China’s four major economic zones—connecting the Yangtze River Delta to the south, the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region to the north, the Bohai Rim to the east, and the rising Central Plains to the west—the city enjoys a strategic location that serves as a “guardian” for these regions, making it an important regional hub for Shandong and even North China. In 2025, the expo welcomed over 50,000 professional visitors from public security, procuratorial, judicial systems, security engineering firms, system integrators, security agents, financial institutions, power utilities, urban development agencies, transportation authorities, schools, and other sectors across multiple provinces and municipalities nationwide.
- The expo provides a one-stop commercial platform covering the entire security industry chain. Exhibits span intelligent video surveillance, access control, intrusion alarms, biometric identification, smart policing, artificial intelligence, IoT applications, big data, cloud computing, 5G communications, specialized robots, drones, and numerous other digital, intelligent, and integrated technologies and products. In 2025, more than 1,000 renowned domestic and international digital security companies participated, occupying a total exhibition space of 30,000 square meters, with new products from brands such as Huawei, Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, DJI, Tiandi Weiye, Bosch, Qiangli Jucolor, Skyworth, Lenovo, Konka, TCL, Absen, and many others converging in Jinan.
- The expo establishes an authoritative platform deeply connected to the public security systems of Shandong and surrounding provinces. The expo has become a vital annual gathering for Shandong’s public security apparatus. The provincial department issued official notices to all directly affiliated units, dispatching teams of bureau chiefs from 16 municipal public security bureaus to attend, ensuring full participation across the force. Exhibitors signed agency sales contracts totaling RMB 260 million with agents and engineering firms, while several out-of-province security manufacturers concluded cooperative agreements with engineering firms and agents in Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Tianjin, Shanxi, Liaoning, and 17 cities across Shandong Province during the event.
- Concurrent with the expo, the “Digital Intelligence Security” Summit Forum was held, creating a cutting-edge technical hub integrating industry, academia, research, and application. The forum invited leaders from relevant government departments and corporate experts to comprehensively discuss the current state of digital Shandong development—from policy frameworks and technological advancements to ecological applications and social services—providing attendees with opportunities for forward-thinking discussions, analysis of exemplary solutions, and insights into emerging industry trends.
- For enterprises, the expo serves as a strategic gateway to expand into the North China market, connect with regional resources, and showcase technological prowess. Shandong has very few local security product manufacturers, yet market demand remains robust, offering ample opportunities for capable national security companies. The organizing committee dispatched over 150 free shuttle buses to transport professional visitors from more than 120 cities within a 600-kilometer radius of Jinan, covering Tianjin, Shanxi, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui, and various cities across Shandong Province, ensuring the arrival of high-quality buyers.
