With the advancement of global technology, Korean electronic products have evolved from simple devices such as vacuum‑tube radios to cutting‑edge offerings like smartphones, IPTV systems, and semiconductors. This remarkable technological progress, coupled with growing international demand for Korean electronics, has driven a rapid expansion in production volume, placing South Korea fourth globally in electronic product manufacturing. Over the years, KES has stood alongside Korea’s electronics industry, serving as a pivotal gateway to the global market.

At the last edition of the Korea Electronics Show in Seoul, the total exhibition space spanned 30,000 square meters, hosting 508 exhibiting companies from China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Dubai, the United States, Australia, Russia, Germany, and other countries, with attendance reaching 60,000 visitors. In addition, Samsung Electronics curated a Smart Factory zone, providing numerous start-ups with a platform to showcase their innovations. Despite their relatively modest scale, these enterprises introduced a wealth of groundbreaking technologies and concepts, opening new avenues for emerging businesses.

China and South Korea enjoy significant economic complementarity, characterized not only by robust trade in goods but also by opportunities for technological collaboration. Leveraging geographical advantages, cost‑effectiveness, and the availability of comparable products and technologies, bilateral trade between the two nations represents an optimal choice. Over time, the Korea Electronics Show in Seoul has firmly established itself as a vital bridge for Sino‑Korean cooperation, enabling Chinese electronics and home‑appliance firms to engage with leading Korean counterparts, swiftly penetrate both the Korean and overseas markets, and further advance China’s position on the global stage.
