Manila Auto ShowProfile
The Manila Auto Show (covering cars, trucks, and motorcycles) is a renowned automotive exhibition in Southeast Asia. It serves as a global platform for automotive parts and OEM suppliers, facilitating the exchange of new technologies, inventions, and materials among designers, engineers, and procurement professionals in the automotive industry. It is also specifically dedicated to providing supporting components for automotive manufacturers in Southeast Asia.
The event is strictly by invitation only for trade professionals and industry leaders, and is not open to the general public, ensuring a highly specialized audience. It showcases a wide range of automotive parts and components. In addition to exhibitors and attendees, the exhibition attracts extensive coverage from major media outlets and journalists, boasting strong promotional impact and high industry visibility.
In recent years, the electric vehicle associations of the Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore signed a Memorandum of Agreement to establish the ASEAN Federation of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles (AFEHVA). This has fostered active and strengthened partnerships among industry stakeholders across the ASEAN region to promote and accelerate the deployment of electric vehicles. Joint efforts are being made to fully prepare for the emergence of next-generation electric mobility.
Themed "Strengthening Partnerships to Electrify Public and Private Transport," the exhibition focuses on public-private collaboration to stimulate the growth and demand for electric vehicles in both sectors. On the public side, the Department of Transportation's Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program is in full swing and will soon launch initiatives to create a favorable environment for the commercialization of low-carbon urban transport systems in the Philippines. It has been revealed that automotive giants such as Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai will continue to showcase their latest EV technologies at the upcoming summit this year.
