The Middle East Poultry Expo 2025 was successfully held from April 14 to 16 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center. Hosted by the Middle East Poultry Association and officially supported by the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, this event is the most significant annual platform for technological exchange and business matchmaking in the poultry industry across the Middle East and Africa.

Exhibition space and exhibitor numbers remained at a high level. This edition featured an exhibition area of 11,000 square meters, bringing together 320 exhibiting companies from 40 countries. The showcased products spanned the entire value chain, including poultry breeding, farming technologies, feed production, incubation equipment, animal health solutions, as well as product processing and packaging. The event attracted 11,130 professional visitors from 54 countries, with attendees comprising key decision-makers from poultry farming enterprises, distributors of feed and veterinary products, and executives of food-processing companies.

China participated as the Guest Country for the first time, with numerous Chinese enterprises making a strong impression. This year marked the highest level of Chinese participation, with China designated as the Guest Country for the first time.Yi’ai Electronicspresented under the theme “Digital Intelligence Empowering Sustainable Poultry,” showcasing its latest innovations in smart incubation and intelligent farming. As a leading Chinese manufacturer of poultry farming equipment, its booth drew significant attention from professionals across neighboring countries, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Bahrain.SUNRISE Environmental Protectionparticipated for the second time, unveiling a smart, energy-efficient meat-and-bone meal production line—reducing energy consumption by 25% while increasing capacity by 30%—alongside an AI-powered control system and an innovative exhaust-gas treatment solution that cuts carbon emissions by 40%, all tailored specifically for the Saudi market. During the exhibition, SUNRISE signed strategic cooperation memorandums with several Saudi agricultural enterprises, including preliminary agreements with major poultry companies such as Almarai and Alwadi, and established a partnership with the Saudi Center for Environmental Investment Research.

This year’s edition featured, for the first time, a dedicated “Green Protein Processing” zone, spotlighting sustainable solutions. Smart, energy-efficient processing equipment, AI‑driven digital management systems, end-to-end halal certification frameworks, and advanced flue gas treatment and emission‑reduction technologies were among the standout offerings. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 explicitly aims to position the Kingdom as a global hub for the food industry, with efficient utilization and environmentally sound handling of protein by-products identified as key priorities—objectives that were fully reflected in this year’s exhibition.

A diverse program of concurrent events enlivened the show, featuring specialized seminars, technical training sessions, and industry conferences covering critical topics such as sustainable development, smart farm management, and food safety. Eng. Abdulrahman Al-Fadley, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia, paid a visit to the exhibition to offer guidance, while senior executives from food companies under the umbrella of the Public Investment Fund (PIF) also attended to conduct on-site inspections.
