Exhibition Introduction
The Value of Participating in the Suzhou Medical Device Innovation Exhibition (Medical Fair China)
- An extension of the globally renowned MEDICA series in China, serving as a national-level platform for medical device innovation incubation. Organized by Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the exhibition builds upon MEDICA—the world’s largest medical device trade fair—and draws on over five decades of brand heritage and global resources. Since its inception in 2016, it has become a benchmark event for medical innovation in China. With the mission of “Rooted in China, Connected to the World,” the show focuses on the entire lifecycle of medical device innovation, from concept development to market launch, providing a strategic gateway for domestic and international innovators to showcase technological prowess, access capital, and expand collaborative networks.
- A comprehensive ecosystem spanning the entire value chain, with five core sectors on full display. Exhibits cover all major segments, including medical device design and manufacturing, medical electronics, in vitro diagnostics and instruments, smart wearables, and rehabilitation and home healthcare equipment. The exhibition features dedicated zones such as the “Innovation Technology Zone” and the “Startup Incubation Zone,” where cutting-edge developments like medical robots, AI-assisted diagnostic systems, 3D-printed implants, and minimally invasive interventional devices are showcased, offering a complete view of the innovation pipeline from “proof of concept” to “mass production.”
- A global pool of buyers, creating a premier hub for international business matching. Drawing on MEDICA’s extensive global network, the exhibition annually invites over 150 international buyer delegations from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United States, Japan, South Korea, and other countries, facilitating targeted connections with innovative products possessing export potential. Prior to the event, a “one-on-one business matching system” establishes early links between exhibitors and overseas buyers, while dedicated negotiation sessions during the show significantly enhance deal-closing efficiency and order conversion rates.
- A multifaceted integration of exhibition, conference, and competition, fostering deep synergy among industry, academia, research, and application. Concurrent with the exhibition, China Medical Device Innovation Week hosts dozens of high-profile events, including the China Medical Device Summit Forum, the Physician Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the Medical Device Registration Holder System Seminar. During the 2025 edition, academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, directors of top-tier hospitals, medical device review experts, and partners from leading investment firms convened to engage in in-depth discussions on pressing issues such as new regulatory policies, clinical needs translation, and applications of innovative technologies. A dedicated “Physician Innovation Translation Zone” established onsite served as a unique bridge connecting clinical insights with industrial resources.
- Suzhou High-Tech Industrial Zone as a powerhouse for medical devices, offering a distinctive “pre-exhibition, post-factory” advantage. Hosted in Suzhou High-Tech Industrial Zone, this region stands out as the sole area within Jiangsu Province that receives prioritized support under the province’s “One District, One Industry” strategy for developing the medical device sector. It brings together top research institutes such as the Suzhou Institute of Biomedical Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Suzhou Medical Device Research Institute of Southeast University, alongside hundreds of medical device manufacturers, forming a complete industrial ecosystem spanning R&D, testing, production, and sales. Exhibiting companies can leverage the exhibition platform to forge deep ties with regional industrial resources, achieving seamless business integration from sample displays to on-site factory tours.
