Macao International Tourism Industry Exhibition

The Macao International Tourism Industry Exhibition (MITE) is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People’s Republic of China and organized by the Tourism Bureau of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. With an exhibition space exceeding 30,000 square meters, it is expected to attract more than 40,000 professional visitors. In his address, Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao SAR, Li Weinong, stated that the Travel Expo capitalizes on national development opportunities, leverages Macao’s unique advantages, and implements the “1+4” strategy of moderate economic diversification, thereby establishing a new collaborative platform under the “Tourism Plus” framework. By bringing together the global tourism industry in Macao, the event aims to expand regional and international tourism cooperation, generate additional business opportunities, and realize the vision of “Leading with the Travel Expo, Welcoming Guests in Splendor.”

The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, together with tourism authorities and industry representatives from 24 mainland provinces, is participating in the exhibition to promote the rich tourism resources of the Chinese mainland. In his remarks, Kong Lun, Deputy Director-General of the International Exchange and Cooperation Bureau (Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan Office) of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, expressed the hope that the Travel Expo will evolve into a high‑quality international trade fair brand distinguished by Macao’s unique characteristics and strengths; grow into a vital platform for enriching the substance of Macao as a world-class tourism and leisure hub and supporting its moderate economic diversification; and continuously align with the overarching national development agenda, deepening exchanges and cooperation to build a solid bridge between the mainland and Macao tourism sectors, opening up broad prospects for shared growth.

The holding of the Macao International Tourism Industry Exhibition (MITE) not only provides a powerful impetus for the recovery of Macao’s local tourism economy and fosters synergistic development between the tourism sector and other industries, but also injects fresh momentum into bolstering confidence in the global tourism industry.

Macao International Tourism Industry Exhibition tickets are e-tickets. Mainland China visitors must complete online pre-registration with real-name ID verification; overseas visitors must use passport verification; Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan visitors must use their travel permit. On site, verify entry with your ID card or by scanning the e-ticket QR code.
