The China Qingdao Livestock Industry Expo (hereinafter referred to as the Qingdao Livestock Expo) aims to deepen exchanges and cooperation, promote the healthy development of the international livestock and poultry industry, and explore globally leading models for sustainable livestock and poultry farming.
With the theme “Leading Smart Livestock Farming, Supporting Rural Revitalization,” this expo has garnered support and attention from numerous domestic and international trade associations and government authorities. For many years, Shandong Province has ranked first nationwide in livestock production and has become a key national base for livestock production, processing, and export. As a result, a large number of domestic and overseas enterprises and institutions in the livestock sector are eager to strengthen comprehensive exchanges and cooperation with Shandong Province.

Exhibition Review
The 22nd China Animal Husbandry Expo and the 2025 China International Animal Husbandry Expo were successfully held from May 19 to 21, 2025, at the Qingdao World Expo City. With the theme “Showcasing New Business Models, Sharing New Achievements, Boosting New Momentum, and Leading New Development,” the event spanned an exhibition area of 180,000 square meters, utilizing twelve major pavilions and a cross‑corridor exhibition zone. Over 8,200 booths were set up, attracting more than 1,500 enterprises from over 20 countries and regions. Total visitor attendance reached 282,000, marking the highest participation in the history of the expo.
The Large Enterprise Pavilion brought together nearly 200 leading companies, including Muyuan, Wens, Charoen Pokphand, New Hope Six Harmony, Shounong Group, Tongwei Co., Ltd., and Hefeng Co., Ltd., forming an innovative, full‑chain ecosystem covering breeding R&D, smart equipment, green farming, and advanced processing.
Smart animal husbandry emerged as a central highlight of the expo, with nearly 500 smart‑equipment firms—such as Nongxin Digital Intelligence, Henan Wanhua, Jingpeng Huanyu, Zhejiang Chint, and Chengdu Little Giant—presenting cutting‑edge solutions. Hefei Laset Robotics showcased an AI‑powered integrated farming solution; Muyuan’s inspection robots achieved full coverage of newly built facilities; and Beijing Nongxin Interconnect unveiled its Aisi large‑language model application. Concurrently, the Fourth National Conference on Digitalization in Animal Husbandry was held, unveiling 20 outstanding cases and 80 exemplary cases of nationwide digital transformation in the sector for 2024–2025.
The International Pavilion featured four major national delegations—, France, the Netherlands, and the Nordic countries—bringing forward‑looking concepts such as digital farm management systems and animal welfare standards. Companies like DSM and Guangdong Yiduoli further deepened cross‑border technological collaborations. Meanwhile, the Environmental Protection Pavilion highlighted green innovations in manure treatment, harmful gas monitoring, and low‑nitrogen farming, with 31 leading enterprises—including Muyuan and New Hope—jointly launching the “Low‑Carbon, Low‑Nitrogen, Antibiotic‑Reduced Healthy Pig Farming Initiative.”
In parallel, nearly one hundred ancillary events were organized, including the Second Livestock Product Brand Development Conference, the Third Animal Biotechnology Industry Conference, and the Third Sustainable Development Conference for Animal Husbandry. Three major special campaigns—promoting new white‑feather broiler varieties, advancing yellow‑feather broilers, and advocating low‑carbon, antibiotic‑reduced, healthy pig farming—were fully launched, while 30 exemplary cases of corporate social responsibility from Wens, Muyuan, New Hope, and other companies were announced. Additionally, over 100 local enterprises, including Qingdao Kangda, Longming Cattle Industry, and Tianrui Animal Husbandry, participated, vividly showcasing the achievements of Qingdao’s urban‑type modern animal husbandry.
