Seoul Coffee Show – World Coffee Expo AsiaProfile
The Seoul Coffee Show in South Korea is Asia’s largest and most influential exhibition dedicated to coffee and tea. Accredited by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), the event seamlessly integrates experiential programs with educational content, fostering an energetic on-site atmosphere. Its barista competitions, in particular, have generated tremendous excitement, making it an unmissable trade show for global coffee industry leaders.
South Korea ranks among the world’s highest per capita consumers of coffee. By 2025, average annual coffee consumption is projected to reach 512 cups per person, up 26.4% from 405 cups in 2024—nearly three times the global average. This deeply ingrained consumption pattern spans all scenarios: instant coffee at convenience stores in the morning, socializing at cafés during the day, quick refills from vending machines, and home‑brewed beverages, creating robust demand across the entire coffee product spectrum and providing ample market space for diverse coffee offerings and business models.
The structural characteristics of the Korean coffee market present multiple export opportunities that align closely with Chinese companies’ production capacities and innovation strengths. In the core raw materials segment, South Korea relies on imports for over 90% of its coffee beans, traditionally sourced from Brazil, Colombia, and other regions. However, with global coffee bean import prices rising nearly 70% year over year in 2025, domestic firms are compelled to diversify their supply sources. China’s Yunnan small‑bean coffee has already captured attention in the Korean market; its flavor profile complements the preference for deep roasts prevalent in Korea, while offering significant cost advantages, positioning it well to help bridge supply gaps.
JuZhan has repeatedly facilitated the participation of select high‑quality enterprises at this event. The Seoul Coffee Show is the industry’s first exhibition to comprehensively showcase coffee, tea, baked goods, and confectionery cultures. Backed by support from Europe, the Americas, and Asia, it annually draws baristas from around the globe to engage in dynamic on‑site activities.
The Seoul Coffee Show highlights trends shaping the global foodservice market and serves as a specialized platform for proposing innovative business solutions. Recognized as one of the world’s premier exhibitions, it enjoys widespread acclaim both domestically and internationally for its value and competitiveness. Underpinned by world‑class professional standards, the Seoul Coffee Show continues to lead the global coffee industry, relentlessly exploring new pathways toward sustainable development, unlocking synergistic coexistence and shared prosperity, and injecting boundless vitality and potential into the sector’s future.
