The Exhibition Value of the Guangzhou International Footwear Show
- The Guangzhou International Shoes, Leather & Industrial Equipment Exhibition (SHOES LEATHER GUANGZHOU) isone of Asia’s premier events in the footwear and leather industries. Since its inception, it has been successfully held for more than thirty editions and is widely recognized by the industry as a global benchmark for footwear sector development and a central hub of Asia’s shoe‑making value chain. Co‑organized by Xianhui Exhibition, the Guangdong Footwear Manufacturers Association, and the Guangzhou Footwear Chamber of Commerce, the show leverages its strategic location at the heart of China’s footwear manufacturing cluster to serve as a pivotal platform for connecting global supply‑chain resources, showcasing cutting‑edge technological advances, and shaping industry trends.
- The core value of participation lies in its comprehensive, end‑to‑end industry coverage and its robust channels for precisely linking with international buyers. The exhibition fully encompasses all segments of the footwear value chain, including shoemaking machinery, leather materials, footwear components and accessories, chemical products, smart equipment, finished footwear, and luggage. In 2025, the event will bring together 726 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, occupying an exhibition space of 36,712 square meters, and attracting 13,565 professional visitors from 77 countries and regions worldwide. These attendees represent key decision‑making groups such as manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, importers/exporters, agents, and designers.
- The exhibition has established an international trade platform that seamlessly connects to global markets. With its steadily increasing international presence, the 2025 edition will feature exhibitors from 15 countries and regions, including Germany, Italy, Spain, Turkey, India, Vietnam, Malaysia, and South Korea. Taiwan, Italy, and Turkey will participate through organized national pavilions. Overseas industry associations—such as the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association, the Vietnam Leather, Footwear & Luggage Association, and the South African Footwear and Leather Export Bureau—regularly dispatch specialized buyer delegations to attend. The show has also forged a collaborative mechanism with the Vietnam Footwear Expo, supporting enterprises in achieving dual circulation between domestic and international markets.
- Keeping pace with three major industry trends—smart manufacturing, green materials, and design innovation—the exhibition has created a high‑level technological ecosystem fostering deep integration among industry, academia, research, and application. A dedicated Smart Equipment Zone showcases Industry 4.0 solutions, including 3D‑printed customization, automated production lines, and digital design software. Material‑technology companies highlight innovative developments such as eco‑friendly synthetic leathers and proprietary new materials. Concurrently, the exhibition hosts the International Footwear Design Competition (IFDC) and a Design Corridor, bringing together fashion‑forward footwear and leather creations from designers around the globe to share avant‑garde concepts and emerging industry trends. Dozens of technical seminars are also held on site, where industry experts and corporate leaders convene to exchange the latest market insights and breakthroughs in technology.
- For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway for expanding into global markets, accessing international resources, and demonstrating their innovative capabilities. Drawing on the industrial strengths of five major footwear manufacturing hubs—Guangdong, Fujian, Wenzhou, Chengdu, and Chongqing—the show gathers renowned Chinese brands such as Belle, ROLNARLI, Yaqite, Fatima, and Yingjili, alongside specialized market platforms like Tianfu Tianhe Global Trade Center, Xicheng Footwear Plaza, and Buyun Tiandi. Through this platform, Chinese companies can showcase their expertise in intelligent shoemaking, sustainable footwear materials, and high‑efficiency footwear machinery. Exhibiting firms can leverage this opportunity to connect with core global procurement networks, seizing early advantages in the industry’s ongoing transformation toward intelligence, sustainability, and globalization.
