Review

The 31st China (Shenzhen) International Spring Tea Industry Expo was successfully held from June 27 to 30, 2025, at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center (Futian). As China’s flagship spring tea exhibition, this edition centered on “multi‑scene synergy and full‑chain coverage,” with an exhibition space of 75,000 square meters. It brought together more than 20 government‑led pavilions and over 1,000 high‑quality domestic and international exhibitors, showcasing more than 100,000 popular tea products and attracting tens of thousands of professional buyers and tea‑culture enthusiasts.

The expo featured eight major thematic zones: the World Green Tea Conference, National Famous Tea Regions, New‑Style Tea Beverage Zone, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan & International Zone, Old Tea Street, Tea Packaging Design Exhibition, Tea Utensil Aesthetics Zone, and Yixing Clay Pottery Zone. Exhibits spanned all categories, including Pu’er tea, dark tea, green tea, white tea, black tea, oolong tea, reprocessed tea, tea packaging design, tea machinery, Yixing clay ware, ceramics, fine tea utensils, tea‑related crafts, tea‑flavored foods, tea‑inspired apparel, and agarwood handicrafts, precisely catering to diverse marketing scenarios such as corporate gifting, employee benefits, enterprise customization, and cultural‑tourism‑related merchandise.

As the highlight of the Fifth World Green Tea Conference, the China Tea TEA20 and Tea Industry Ecosystem Cooperation Forum 2025 was held concurrently, bringing together representatives from key production areas, leading experts, renowned tea brands, and global buyers. The event provided an in‑depth analysis of pathways for upgrading the green tea industry and emerging trends in global market channels, while unveiling the “2025 China Green Tea Regional Public Brand Value Assessment Report.” Throughout the expo, a series of engaging activities were also staged, including the Tan Cha Guan·Lingnan Tea Gathering, the First Traditional Chinese Medicine Tea Therapy and Tea‑Based Wellness Industry Development Conference 2025, the Fifteenth International Dingcheng Song Dynasty Tea‑Competing Event, and the Dingcheng Tea King Competition Awards Ceremony.

National core production regions made a collective appearance as government‑led pavilions. Delegations from Huangshan, Xinchang, Guizhou, Zhenghe, Nanjian, Zijin, Jiangmen, Tongren, Leishan, Wanzhou, Lushan, Lingyun, Guilin Longsheng, and other areas showcased their products, conducted sales presentations, and promoted their brands, effectively supporting tea enterprises in expanding into the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area market. Huangshan City organized 17 tea companies to participate, with both Huangshan Maofeng and Taiping Houkui ranking among the top 20 regional public brand values for Chinese green tea in 2025. Meanwhile, the Guizhou Green Tea Pavilion presented its signature “Two Reds, Three Greens, One Touch” matrix, securing over one hundred on‑site orders; Zhengde Tea Industry reported sales exceeding RMB 250,000 and attracted purchasing intentions from buyers in Bangladesh, Vietnam, the United States, Pakistan, and other countries.

The Tea Utensil Aesthetics Zone gathered prominent brands such as Jingdezhen Ceramic University, Sanding, Jizhi Titanium, Tonghua, Yinlu, and Hanyintang. Renowned Yixing clay artisans—including Shi Zhipeng, Zhou YinFu, and Shen Jianfen—explored innovations in materials, craftsmanship, and functionality, highlighting the vibrant vitality of tea culture expressed through tea vessels. Additionally, the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and International Zone drew tea enterprises and cultural institutions from Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Nepal, and other regions, establishing an efficient platform for sharing resources across the global tea industry.
