It covers the entire textile value chain: apparel fabrics and fashion, home and commercial textiles, as well as industrial textiles and textile technologies.
As the first integrated textile exhibition hosted by Messe Frankfurt in Asia, VIATT is regarded as a key business platform for the entire textile value chain. The event attracted approximately 19,000 visitors from over 70 countries and regions.
VIATT featured 463 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions, with Chinese exhibitors accounting for roughly 60%. National and regional pavilions included China, Europe, India, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan. The Exhibition Value of the Vietnam International Textile Show
- VIATT is the only comprehensive, specialized trade show in ASEAN that covers the entire textile value chain. Co-organized by Messe Frankfurt and the Trade Promotion Agency under Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, it has been successfully held twice since its inception in 2024 and is widely recognized in the industry as a core driver for upgrading Vietnam’s textile sector and a strategic gateway for global companies seeking to tap into the ASEAN market. The exhibition seamlessly integrates three major segments—apparel fabrics, home textiles, and industrial textiles—and, leveraging Vietnam’s strategic position as the world’s second-largest textile exporter and a key hub within the ASEAN supply chain, has become a central platform for connecting global textile‑industry resources, showcasing cutting-edge technological advancements, and advancing sustainable transformation.
- The core value of participation lies in its unique ability to serve as a precision‑driven platform linking Vietnam and the rapidly growing ASEAN markets, while concentrating an exceptionally high density of international buyers. Vietnam’s textile and apparel industry accounts for 12%–16% of the country’s total export value, with exports projected to reach US$48 billion by 2025, supported by 17 active next‑generation free trade agreements, including CPTPP and EVFTA. At its second edition in 2025, the show attracted 463 exhibitors from 24 countries and regions, drawing over 19,000 visitors from more than 70 countries and territories—an increase of over 10% compared to the inaugural event. The exhibition brought together VIP buyer delegations from leading international brands such as adidas, Nike, IKEA, ZARA, MUJI, and Lululemon, providing participating companies with a strategic opportunity to engage directly with global purchasing decision‑makers.
- The show has established a one‑stop commercial platform covering the entire textile value chain. Exhibits span the full spectrum, including apparel fabrics and ready‑to‑wear collections, home and commercial textiles, industrial textiles and nonwovens, textile processing and dyeing technologies, yarns and fibers, textile chemicals, and testing and certification services. In 2026, the exhibition will expand to 18,000 square meters, a 20% increase over 2025, and will feature dedicated pavilions representing Germany, Europe, India, Japan, Taiwan, and other national and regional clusters.
- The exhibition aligns with three major industry trends—sustainable transformation, digital innovation, and industrial upgrading—creating a robust ecosystem for deep integration among industry, academia, research institutions, and end‑users. At its 2025 edition, VIATT introduced a dedicated Sustainability Hub, bringing together top global certification bodies such as Cradle to Cradle, GOTS, OEKO‑TEX, and Hohenstein. An Innovation and Digital Solutions Zone showcased cutting‑edge developments, including AiDLab’s WiseEye smart fabric inspection technology, 3D printing, and AI‑powered design simulation systems. Concurrent events included a Sustainability Forum, a Textile Industry Exchange Conference, and the inaugural Vietnam Investment Capital Summit (VCICS), all focusing on critical topics such as EU regulations, the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism, and supply chain resilience.
- For Chinese enterprises, this exhibition serves as a strategic gateway to the ASEAN market, a bridge to global resources, and a platform to showcase innovative capabilities. At the 2026 edition, Chinese exhibitors demonstrated strong engagement, with the Shaoxing Municipal Bureau of Commerce organizing a delegation of 101 high‑quality textile companies. On‑site commitments totaled over US$30 million. Participating firms—including Tenglong Textile, Jiangyin Jiaxiang Trading, and Shanghai Donglong Home Textiles—presented products ranging from functional fabrics and fashion‑forward printed textiles to premium home textiles and industrial textiles. Through this platform, Chinese companies can connect with key ASEAN procurement networks and seize early opportunities as Vietnam’s textile industry transitions toward higher value‑added, green, and digitally driven production.

Exhibition Review
The 3rd Vietnam International Apparel, Textiles & Textile Technology Expo (VIATT 2026) was successfully held from February 26 to 28, 2026, at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City. This edition of the show was themed “Design, Innovation & Sustainability,” co-organized by Messe Frankfurt and the Trade Promotion Agency of Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, and has become an annual highlight for the ASEAN textile industry.
In terms of scale, the exhibition spanned 18,000 square meters, bringing together over 460 exhibitors from 21 countries and regions, and attracting more than 17,000 professional visitors from 54 countries and regions. The event covered three core sectors—apparel fabrics, home textiles, industrial textiles, and textile technologies—offering a comprehensive value-chain showcase.
This year’s expo featured numerous highlights, with the German Pavilion’s debut and the Fashion Trends Zone emerging as key attractions. Backed by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, the German Pavilion showcased high-end lingerie fabrics, fine wool yarns, and cutting-edge weaving machinery. The European Pavilion brought together leading exhibitors from Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. Meanwhile, the newly introduced “Fashion Lifestyle Trends Zone,” co-created by NellyRodi™ Agency and MUSEATIVE, presented forward-looking trends in fashion, home décor, and technology for Spring/Summer 2027.
A rich array of concurrent events further enhanced the program. The Vietnam Textile and Garment Industry Development Strategy Summit (VTGIS 2026) explored applications of artificial intelligence, industrial upgrading, and international brand‑market strategies; while the Sustainability Forum and the Innovative Digital Solutions Zone highlighted eco‑friendly materials and smart fabric‑inspection technologies. Seven national and regional pavilions made their debut, including those from Germany, Europe, Japan, Turkey, India, China, and Taiwan. The Indian Pavilion promoted the Kasturi Cotton traceability initiative, while Japanese companies such as Murata Machinery and Yagi Co., Ltd. also participated.
The Sustainability Zone drew particular attention. It gathered top global certification bodies—including Cradle to Cradle, GOTS, and OEKO‑TEX—to showcase organic cotton, recycled polyester, Tencel, and other environmentally friendly materials. Covation Biomaterials presented Sorona®, a bio‑based high‑performance polymer, while the Artificial Intelligence Design Lab (AiDLab) demonstrated its WiseEye smart fabric‑inspection technology.
The professional visitor lineup was robust, with an unprecedented level of international participation. VIP buyer delegations from international brands such as Adidas, Gap, H&M, Lululemon, Muji, IKEA, and ZARA attended, alongside ten buyer groups from eight countries. Exhibitors widely reported that the quality of professional visitors was exceptionally high, with clear purchasing objectives, and several companies have already reached preliminary cooperation agreements with international brands like GAP, Carter’s, and Inditex.
The expo yielded significant results and received enthusiastic industry acclaim. Bui Quang Hung, Deputy Director General of the Trade Promotion Agency under Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, stated that Vietnam’s textile and garment sector is transitioning from extensive growth to intensive development, moving from traditional manufacturing toward green, intelligent manufacturing. Sheela Shih, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Hong Kong) Limited, emphasized that VIATT serves not only as a procurement platform but also as a strategic space for shaping the future of ASEAN’s textile industry. Attendees agreed that VIATT is a pivotal hub for understanding ASEAN textile trends and exploring pathways for design innovation and sustainable transformation.
